Glad it is over. I'm sure this will get another season, but this will be the final Wind Breaker episode for me. Tsubakino was great, but couldn't save the show alone.

The main character is sidelined and the author switched from emotional development mixed with fighting, to whole hour long blocks of self-pity and chit chat. The writing has gone straight downhill and its very disappointing.

So they apparently got Akashi to become a delinquent. Also that barren wasteland flashback was too edgy lol. Liked the first season because of the grunge aesthetic, but once the plot got going guess this series was actually meh.

Definitely not as climactic as season 1 but Sakura's character growth was definitely a positive trend imo.

As for the stuff besides that, I'd say it was about the same level as its predecessor or a little worse. Going to settle with a 7/10 here.

Some hype around Takishii Chika, huh? Interesting that they got Kamiya Hiroshi-san for the role. Wouldn't mind seeing him as a main villain anymore, lol.

I think they should just stop there tbh. 2 seasons is enough for an action show with no tension. I feel the same way about action-comedy shows. If it did get another season, I'd watch it but give it a low rating, as it's very unlikely that they'd do the unthinkable. It's the type of show where I'll enjoy the first 2 seasons, but starting from the 3rd season, it'll just won't be able to satisfy me anymore. Mashle getting a third season is already making me wonder "what's the point?" Even if it means it'll be getting a complete adaptation. Even Dandadan is an action-comedy, so that might as well just stop at season 2 and not bother with a season 3. Dandadan will never satisfy me if it's an action-comedy. I'd be surprised if it went there, but since it's an action-comedy, it's very unlikely that it'll go there. Anyway, Wind Breaker sold 3,977 copies in its first week, making it a successful show, meaning chances of a third season is high. But if there's no third season announcement by the end of February 2028, then a third season will never happen at that point.

Let me guess infinite throat endo and that rengoku look alike all have a sad backstory. Anyway if there will be another sequel I hope they just focus on the fighting.

Banger Season!! It just keeps getting better and better. Why I love this season has less to do with the fights, and more to do with the writing. Watching Sakura grow and face his fear of trust was the highlight of the season for me, as well as seeing the guys bonding and having fun like normal teenage kids. I even forgot we're watching delinquents/gangs😅.

The writing and story behind these characters don't deserve enough credit. I feel like season 3 is going to be even BETTER, so I can't wait!!! W ANIME!🔥💯🐐✅️

Man, they really sidestepped all the character pitfalls I was worried about. Pretty great anime.

The fight scenes were awesome, but the character development is what really clinched it for me. So many solid and genuine conversations and lessons about friendship, acceptance, leadership, and forgiveness. I was quite impressed. Normally shows end up sounding super cliche. But a big part of why Furin works is because it's full of misfits and miscreants. They were accepted flaws and all and were taught to grow and accept others. It's pretty freaking beautiful.

I was also impressed at how they handled Tsukabe's character. That could also easily come off very preachy. But they did it correctly completely sidestepping the gender identity bit and "what's gender appropriate," in favor of the more universal ideal of staying true to yourself. It doesn't really matter what he calls himself or what others call him because he's still the same person at the end of the day. That's certainly something a lot of activist types forget, ultimately ending up trying to pigeon-hole people in their own way. Again I'm very impressed.

And I must admit I was wrong in my season 1 comment: the writer actually did think about having "girls" at the school quite deeply. Nirei didn't end up whiny; he's growing on his own journey. Sakura was so relatable I wanted to cry at times. Like damn, why didn't I have friends like that back in the day. I'm sure normies hated the repetitive nature of his arc, but I thought it was paced perfectly. A lot quicker than I was expecting at the very least. You don't just change something that deep overnight, especially when it manifests in so many different ways. All of my fears abated for once. Glad to see it.

I do have to knock a point for the pole-dancing though. I've certainly seen a lot of yaoi-bait and fujoshi fanservice in sports anime and such. It's definitely not my cup of tea, so I normally try to ignore it or laugh at the idea of girls squealing over it. I did feel like Nirei gushing over it pushed it firmly into cringe territory. Even more than that, I don't think it really fits the story. Even if Tsukabe is 18, why are they letting a highschooler strip in their bar? Especially if they're supposed to be stand-up types ensuring safe sex work in their red light district? I really doubt they'd let teenagers perform in that capacity. It kind of kills their entire moral argument when you think about it, and it would just end up encouraging the seedier types they beat up every day. But heaven knows girls could easily say similar things about the fanservice I typically enjoy in shows, so I can't knock it too much.

9/10. I'm really looking forward to season 3.

Glad this season is over. It became such a chore to finish. You watch because you think something cool is going to happen, and *poof* nothing does. Character growth? Negligible. Yay, Sakura is figuring out that he can't do it alone if he wants to be the best. If he listened to cafe girl all the way back in S1, Ep 1, she told him that. It's taken him 25 episodes to move a couple inches. Same goes for the crybaby yellow boy.
For a final episode to spend nearly 6 and a half minutes on coffee and sandwiches before they finally (sort of) get to the topic on hand is inexcusable. This show spends more time just going around the table letting each character say one line or make some inane remark about Sakura and his awkwardness. What an infuriating and irritating show. It's peak only for the simple minded.

Feel free to drop the show. The show is ALL about growth and trusting others. The fact that they talk things through is huge. I thought it was a fine season finale as it showed that there's more in expanding what we knew about Furin and it's history, in how it setup some much bigger battles ahead, and when we thought Endo was the big bad, we find out there's even someone stronger. Hyped for next season.
