| Lucius was finally defeated. Bro disintegrated after being lectured by Julius. Julius then praised Asta and Yuno and also Yami and William. We then got the Vermellion siblings' exchange. Mereoleona said that her magic was about to wear off and she had no body to return back to and was on the verge of death. But Julius restored back her body and brought back Marx and Jack and tried to restore the kingdom. Julius said that restoring the kingdom was his last duty as Wizard King. And after that Julius died...... Wonder how many chapters are left now... We are near the end. |

| While I am glad that Julius managed to do one last heroic act before he died, it also would have been nice to see some more major casualties from the battle. I guess the next batch of chapters will finally reveal who becomes the wizard king to replace Julius. |

| I don't mind the way things wrapped up here but I don't think it is great either. It is serviceable to the series as a whole, but the one thing I think would really benefit the narrative would be a proper characterization for Lucius. I need to know what set him on this path. He really had the potential to be the best villain in BC but as of now the best one isn't even in the manga it's Conrad from the movie. This whole arc has been full of ups and downs and the shift to a seasonal release certainly made it feel dragged out so I'm not surprised that the ending is lackluster in a way. I'm just glad that it isn't bad (although it seems many would disagree with me). |

| One of my favorite anituberisms was when people were saying Re:Zero was this intense deconstruction on anime tropes when it came out, and then years later when I got around to reading it it was just lolicon chuunige. |
| Lucius call himself Wizard Emperor? More like L-Emperor... But yeah, I'm disappointed in Lucius character. Overall it's kinda long time since I was this disappointed in chapter batch... funny enough it happens mostly when Lucius is main focus of those chapters. Yeah, I don't like him (in bad way) as a villain. To be honest, Tabata shouldn't have killed off all those characters if he planned to revive them in the end... like Lucius reviving fallen magic knights as paladins and everyone trying to save them before "finishing blow" would be more impactful in my opinion. And fallen Crimson Lion knights would be cool spell if they stayed dead. Also what happened to Adramelech? Will we get plot twist with him in next batch? (I doubt) There is Liebe in this chapter, even if briefly. And he said nothing. (currently it's 56/28 ch. with 58 words). Also no Leviathan (currently 38 words in 22 chapters) |

| I... I can't believe it. It's finally over. What an epic battle. Totally unreal. I do think the end is like sort of insane, Lucius is a weird villain to be the final one but it's kind of fucked up. Just a battle through the sky, Asta and Yuno, my goats. Everyone is healed... except for Julius. Sad! I love Julius! It's all over!!!!!! Where to now??? We're gonna see where they all go from here!!!!! Gahhh!!! |

| As far as long (ish) running shounen goes, I’m happy with this ending. I know people generally don’t like the ‘and everyone is alive and the damage has been undone’ but in this context it works for me. I know it’s not technically over, but I think Black Clover was a good solid journey. |

| @Petroskap it took literal years in the final battle against lucius, he was defeated slower than any other of these mainline manga villains, we had only like 9-12 chapters per year, normally it would have ended much earlier than hero academia and jujtusu kaisen if it wasnt for these extremely long breaks |
| Interesting pattern of how big manga/anime keep ending on a controversial or underwhelming note. Attack on Titan, My Hero Academia, Jujutsu Kaisen and now Black Clover. For some reason weird or questionable endings keeps occurring over and over again. |

| So, Julius tells Lucius why Lucius failed... can't wait for the anime to animate this whole arc. Mereoleona lives as Julius sacrifices himself to restore the whole kingdom back to normal. All that remains is to see who becomes Wizard King and who will Asta end up with. |

| Since we still have some chapters (I would say around 3 to 6(?) ) Let's hope we get some Lucius backstory and also some more understanding on the devils/devil world. Also, am I the only one who feels like we should know more about Licita? C'mon, who's the father? But finally, the conclusion of this battle - it sure didn't help to the progression all this feeling so dragged due to seasonal releases. If I re-read the whole arc rn, for sure it's gonna feel much more cohesive. I liked this conclusion, it made sense, especially what Julius did at the end since his magic is time itself. Maybe he would have survived if he kept what little remained of his mana, but as the Wizard King that was not a very noble sacrifice, but also his duty. Can't wait to watch this arc in the anime! |

| @Akuza I really don't get what are people complaining about, this is a SHONEN, it's gonna follow some pretty hard shonen tropes! At some point the protagonists would have to defeat the bad guy/villain of the arc and it's a literally "they lived happily ever after" that's what's suppose to somehow happen. |
| Mr. Yuki, I don’t feel so good. Is Black Clover approaching its finale? Wait, I’m not mentally prepared for this. I have so many questions. Who was the original, after all? Was it Lucius or Julius? Why did they have dissociative identity disorder in the first place? Was Lucius born as a result of something Julius went through, or was Julius merely a possessed vessel for Lucius? Or was Lucius the original, with Julius emerging from something Lucius experienced? I feel like I sound dumb as heck right now, but I’m genuinely so confused. Putting Julius and Lucius aside, as inconceivable as it was, Asta and Yuno actually managed to defeat Lucius, which was always a given, considering they’re the main characters. The real question is, what did Julius mean when he said he was entrusting the Clover Kingdom to the Magic Knights? Could he be retiring, perhaps as a way of atoning for everything he did while he was possessed by Lucius? I’m so confused. I mean, William did the same thing and got away with it without atoning or anything, so why does Julius have to do this? Also, if he does retire, who would succeed him? |
| No way that’s it after all those years of buildup and the magazine switches 😭 3 more chapters left is not enough, the Lucius fight should’ve been longer with more backstory and twists man you’re talking about the end of a decade old story here and it feels so rushed. We didn’t even flush him out as a character really. It’s not the worst ending ever, but for a 10/10 manga to this point, it’s like a 7/10 ending for me. Just feels anticlimactic. If Asta gets with Noelle I’ll be ok tho lol |
