I dread translating it so much that I shit my pants just thinking about it. Even then, the book sneaks in something in poetic structure once in a while, making it a real headscratcher to translate. It's fun, though. |

I damn near crapped a brick with that one scene. Which one? I swear there is like a half dozen scenes in the last 6 eps where Vita is insanely awesome. And pretty much everyone else, really. I can't say there is many series with such a large cast of characters who all engaged me and I actually really liked, but Nanoha has managed to find a place in that short list (along with the likes of TTGL and Code Geass). It's probably the reason I liked StrikerS so much- it was the culmination of character growth from 3 seasons' worth of stuff, and was supported by enough clever badassery to be able to happily put aside most cliches. |

| Got my DVDs from that Amazon sale (the one good thing to come out of that last anime thread). My haul was Last Exile, 12 Kingdoms, GitS SAC and 2nd Gig, and Macross+ to replace my old VHS tapes. Yay. But, I'm watching Last Exile and noticed that the image is "jerky" whenever the screen tilts or pans. Is this some artifact of the player I'm using or is this a known issue with the animation in this series? |
