| There is 6 seasons of Gintama series in top animes . I think that would be better if every seasons collect as a Anime series called Gintama just like what IMDB site doing for TV series. the Collect every seasons of one TV series together. after that we don't have to see every season of Gintama in top animes and we'll see all of the seasons as the one Gintama. |

| While it might seem like a good idea at first since it will give some other shows a time to shine at the top list, this is not a good idea. Why? Because you'd have to do the same for all other anime series or it would be unfair. Anime can change a lot between seasons. Season 1 can be amazing and season 2 can be poop. If we did this, an average rating would have to be calculated between seasons. Those anime which are very similar in each season like Gintama would not really be affected by this, while anime like.... Clannad and Clannad: After Story would suffer and drop way down. |

| Not a good idea. There are anime where different seasons were done by different companies, such as Minami-ke. There are anime where different companies adapted different routes of visual novel routes, such as Fate/Stay Night. And finally, there are anime that are direct sequels/prequels, but are too different to be thought of as the same, such as Handa-kun & Barakamon. |
| Dude wtf! Gintama's every season is totally different from the others. You can find more similarities in, let's say, Clannad and Clannad AS than in between the different seasons of Gintama! And as for the 6 entries in the top list, they are totally deserved tbh~ Just because people don't want their favourite series to get lesser attention doesn't mean that they should underrate Gintama or claim it as an over overrated show. (And yes, FMAB is far too mediocre compared to Gintama, in my opinion.) |

| I honestly do not understand all this complaining. If there is one anime that deserves to dominate top ten lists, it's Gintama... and Pingu. Just accept the greatness and move on with your lives. |

| Problem is if you start grouping ratings by franchise, then standalone movies like Kimi no na wa, Koe no katachi and ghiblis will dominate the top, as good rated shows will be grouped with their trashy brothers.(ex : chuunibyou with it's 2nd season). But yeah, i'm also fed up with all entries of gintama in the top. Problem is it has "gintama" in it so people go crazy and instant-rate it 10, which is freaking stupid if you ask me. |

| No im definetly against this, seperate seasons have alot of genuine discrepancy in quality and I'd rather judge them on their own. The only shows i wish were combined were split cour shows like ibo or space dandy and what not cause they are just singular shows with a small break in between. A fuck ton of older split cour shows are just counted as 1 entry like cowboy bebop so its already kind of confusing. Like ive heard the argument its so an entry wont be on a watching list for 3 months without update but then you kind of lose that argument when it comes to ovas which will be on there for years. |
