What constitutes harassment in a legal sense depends a great deal upon the consent and willingness of the other involved person who would be the aggrieved party such a claim would allege is the one being harassed. Given the situation as we've seen it unfold onscreen in the anime where her continued closeness and interaction with him is voluntary and she is very much a vocal, active, and willing participant in the friendship and experimentation, "Is it harassment?" kind of becomes a pointless question doesn't it?

Because it's clear that she's not taking and seeing things that way at all so she would never state such, so it's not really something anyone else (I'm referring to other characters in-universe in the show) would have any right or business to accuse or declare on her behalf. And in fact has already proven she'd be the first one defending his name if any onlooker bystander classmates, teachers, neighbors, etc. saw something and took it in a way which could cause problems for him or for the two of them.



I'd say that it's clearly a crush and infatuation, but that, boiling it all down to the word "love" and being "in love" is an extremely common way for people to make sense of and understand those feelings within themselves and describe it to others. Especially when they're children and teenagers to young adults and/or they're new and inexperienced to such feelings.

Hidaka makes a reference to his parents, which is a prequel of this anime that doesn't get anime adaptation. Sadly the manga is heavily censored to the point that I can't guess the shape and size of his father. Censorship needs to end.

My first impression of Tsunagu was that he was a nonchalant king but he was such an edgelord this episode it kinda pmo. The growling was cringe. We're all thinking it, I just said it. If you didn't have to pause the screen to self-reflect after watching that scene I truly salute you. Hardest watch in a while. The random lore drop about him only being half beastfolk was mental and his rut symptoms are LESSENED because of it?? What would've happened if he was full beast? Asaka girl you got off light.

I feel like this episode is REALLY gonna filter out who and who isn't the target audience... It almost got me but I will hold out another episode because I do see potential in this hot mess.

On one hand, absolutely diabolical premise, on the other, I’m glad we’re getting more of these spicier shoujo stories because women should be able to express their sexuality as they wish. That’s good for the medium and women as a whole, but this is just so wild. We haven’t really got anything like this from a female author recently.

I thought this show was gonna be a social commentary on discrimination and racism and no, it’s just unapologetically the author’s horny tumblr fanfic lmao. Even Aida seems like he’s getting turned on by the stuff with Hidaka and Asaka so everyone in this story freaky as fuck. I’m here for it tho ngl 😭

Regarding the harassment issue, like a lot of messy relationships that could become "incidents" or not in other anime and stories in other mediums, as well as real life events, it's one of those very murky, grey, subjective things like so much else. Because a lot of physical contact and sexual foreplay isn't explicitly verbally solicited or consented to in advance and no one is signing a legal paper contract, so much of that is heat in the moment stuff which is why it is so difficult to prove in cases where there is strongarming and malicious activity and forceful coercion, but also why someone can be baselessly accused and it devolves down the route of "he say, she say". Thankfully I don't think it's the path this series is going down.

But yeah, one could ask "Did she ask for such an action?" "Was she non-verbally consenting even without openly explicitly asking?" "Even if she was, was she in her right state of mind and not intimidated or inebriated by something?" "Was he in his right state of mind?" "What were her feelings on it?" "Could her feelings change after the fact and that would change the nature of what occurred if she later feels ashamed and resents it?" And on and on. Honestly that's all the technical legal dramatics and such but I think for all intents and purposes for this series it's inherently meant to be a fiery passionate transgressive romance so both their actions in those scenes are just meant to portray newly infatuated teens questioning and checking their own boundaries and each other's amid raging hormones. Rather than anything nefarious on anyone's part.

Regarding the distinction between sex and sexual attraction on one hand and love on the other, I agree that they're different and that it falls more into the category of "lust" or sexual attraction driving their actions and behavior. They don't really know each other. There also exists the possibility that each one to the other and what they represent could be fulfilling some deep psychological emotional need and void in their life, but just as they don't know much about each other yet, at this point we too as the audience don't really know nearly enough about either one of them and their backgrounds and home lives to say anything meaningful on that.
