| Well, I will say that Xylo has charisma and personality to inspire the people. That encounter in the mines went South fast and hope seemed lost at first. Hell of an episode. Xylo truly made an impact this episode and even got a flower as a way of thanks from a girl. Feels like the survival instincts kicked in for him and the miners. He's still got more to prove but this episode was worth waiting for imo. This is just the mines so who knows what other dangers are out there. |

| This one shifted the tone from pure action to something much more uncomfortable. I love that they didn't just make the monsters mindless exp fodder, the revelation that those faeries were once humans hearing voices before they turned makes every kill feel heavy. It’s rare for a hero show to actually make you feel bad for the enemies this early on. It makes the penal hero title feel a lot more ironic.Xylo is quickly becoming one of my favorite protagonists of this season. He acts like he doesn't care, but his decision to save the miners instead of just following the Holy Knights' orders shows there’s still a soul buried under that mark. The tension between Unit 9004 and the military leadership is building up perfectly commander Kivia definitely knows more than she’s letting on, and the conspiracy vibes are real. The bgart swarm sequence was peak for me animation wise. The production did a great job making the Zewan Gan tunnels feel claustrophobic and dangerous. My only small gripe is that some of the side characters in the miner group felt a bit generic, but Norgalle’s speech to rally them actually worked surprisingly well to keep the momentum going. If they keep exploring the truth behind the faerie transformation, this is going to be way more than just another edgy action series. And It's definitely worth sticking till the end. |
| A magnificent episode, Norgalle is truly a king and a hero, and his pain was palpable even through the screen. The only downside to the episode is that it's a shame the false priest didn't die, maybe later, and yes, it's a little upsetting that only one of the rescued had the guts to thank the heroes properly, while the reaction of the other residents was disgusting. |
| Okay, i became a fan of Norgalle his Majesty! I saw some comments on reddit that were praising Norgalle now i understand why.. A neat episode with actions, a bit of acceptable cgi and a lot of cute teoritta! Ngl, i hope we see more of tsundere Esdeath in the future too! |
| Amazing episode Gotta give credits to the king and Tatsuya, absolute animal in the fight. Xylo got a flower from a girl and it is a sign that some people actually admire and respect the yuusha. Hope the yuusha team will influence more people to give them the respect they deserve. |

| OMG, this episode was so freaking good and exciting. I’m so glad the animation is still stable. I didn’t expect Teoritta to go there and help Xylo, she sure shut him up, I loved the “so you just have to protect me”. The king is so fucking cool, I knew he had a few screw loose but this much? lmao. And the zombie-like dude was so cool as well, he is crazy. Xylo is a fucking tsundere, wtf is up with him, he treats Teoritta bad and then he gives her flowers, that was soo cuuute. I’m sure that Kivia is going to take a liking to Xylo and they’ll be allies. |
| It was good until the loli showed up. Fight animation is still very impressive. The King and Tatsuya both kick ass, and the miner foreman also seems like a complete bro, just like the blacksmith from Shield Hero. Unfortunately, Tortuga is good at killing whatever dark or serious vibes the other characters are setting up. She needs an attitude adjustment. A correction, if you will. |

| Few things instantly command reverence as raw as a dude known for acting like a king acting like a king. I don't think there's dethroning Norgalle, man. Whatever's actually going on with Tatsuya aside, it was funny seeing the sole axe dude going full one man lumberjack army against an evil tree lol |

| Even if it started as a joke, Norgalle, does deserve that majesty title.. more than ever after this episode. It's people like him with their personalites which actually make a show more than one-note. Also hey, I just hope we get to the backstory part soon enough. |
| I liked Norgalle, but his sacrifice to save the workers had him gain my respect this episode. It's not everyone, but at least the Foreman and his family thanked Xylo for going out of his way to rescue them. |

| While I'm not sure if Norgalle was a king he's been acting as a leader throughout and was even willing to sacrifice himself to save the miners. Also, I'm glad that none of the heroes died as I figured at least one of them would and that was partly thanks for Teoritta and Kivia and her team showing up when things were looking really dire. I'm thinking that as Xylo keeps doing heroic things he will gain respect of those around him such as Kivia which may not be good for those that wrongly sentenced him since I think it will lead to eventually uncovering what really happened to him. |
| 3 episodes and still looking consistent?! Kadokawa, y'all better have this title listed as your passion project alongside those big Isekai titles! Teoritta continues to serve as the anime's Raphtalia here. Good that Norgalle and Tatsuya are also on their way to become memorable side characters. They definitely have more potential than they currently are now. Two things that I fear it might piss off the old gen weebs: either the story drags out the 'finally being acknowledged' thing for too long, or it becomes side-quest-heavy after being acknowledged. Time will tell and I personally don't mind either possibility. |

| The action was pretty good, the side characters in Tatsuya, Norgalle and others were meh. I hope the series doesn't just become a generic story after this initial phase but I don't know. Visually this was maybe a hair weaker than the first two but it's still very good for the most part; especially if this is the base standard of the series. I found the characters to be a bit boring but at least the ending moment was nice with some positive recognition by the foreman's family, especially the kid, for Xylo's actions with the flower there. The Teoritta scene in the middle was alright too with her basically ensuring to Xylo that there's no point in him wasting his energy to drive her away from fighting by his side. Norgalle had his notable moment to show off his bravery but I found him a bit annoying in the previous episode and the start of this, so it didn't move me as much as I hoped. |

@karrotStick There really were a million better ways to do this. But it's not the end of the world, it was just a poorly explained scene. (A better way to do this would be to simply show Xylo looking at his catalyst before the battle and then focus on the catalyst when he loses his charge.) That would have been more than enough.
Furthermore, the Norgalle scene was very good, based on that scene, we can expect parts of the content from volumes 3 and 4 to be shown in the first season. The opening, which also shows the Xylo knight squadron, corroborates this possibility.

| @Desmascarado That is why I believe a director matters so much more than any other staff members. Yeah it'd be nice if we get to see his backstory and with how they are changing some events out, I wouldn't be surprised to see it next episode. |
