| And so we end with a kidnapping, a confession, and insomnia that no longer seems so bad. So I've never read the source manga for this, but it is by the same author as Fujiyama-san wa Shishunki, which I have read in its entirety. I loved that series and wish that had gotten the anime adaptation instead. I knew this going in so it was hard to remain objective about this series as I watched it, but I must admit this was a solid romance series. Not my personal favorite of Spring, or the year, but possibly the objective best. It definitely felt the most mature of any I watched, which may sound weird given the character's ages. But I dunno, it somehow just did. It's fitting too that this was the last of my Spring shows I finished. Ending a season from 2023, the year of the romance anime...with a romance anime. I'd watch more, with one concern: please for the love of god don't use Magari's heart issues as a way to bring in tragedy. That never plays well with me. But yeah, that aside this was a solid 8/10. |

| Ok this show was actually surprisingly good despite my low expectations so i'll give this a 8/10 yuh. Hope season 2 will be amazing whenever that comes out in the future. |

| Honestly, I thought this anime was super boring. It was cozy and all, which was what I was hoping for, but it just couldn't hold my interest at all. I like that they took their time and everything and I actually appreciate how much Nakami grew. I liked that they found a motivation together and explored that. Yet this anime didn't resonate with me as much as I wanted it to. Like it's all there, but it was just boring for me. I'm glad that others seem to have liked it though. Visually it was nice too, but just like with games, nice graphics are just a little plus. It's about interesting gameplay for me, and I just wasn't hooked. I'm super picky about romance though, so I guess I'm not surprised. |
| 7-8/10. The main relationship was really nice but there was some boring parts, not even atmospheric, just pretty boring. And the whole meteor shower arc seemed really pointless, aside from that it was a great watch and the way the characters developed felt really natural |
| "He used to be insufferable, but now he's slightly less insufferable." Lmao took the words right out of my mouth, Kani. Definitely securing her best girl status. Anyway I liked this last arc a lot more than the rest of the show. Ganta was a bit of an edge lord and as asshole. Plus him freaking out and running away over the meteor show being cancelled due to the weather was very immature. There's still a ton of trauma that needs resolving with him and his family but I suppose that is for the next season if there will be one. For whatever reason I couldn't really empathize with him during the earlier parts of the show, which is why I was so excited when he finally started talking about his shit. Too bad it was interrupted with a kiss. But anyway I think the show is redeemed quite a bit with the final arc. |
| Decent romance anime with a neat artstyle. I wasn't necessarily impressed with the plot or interactions, but they were serviceable enough. Have to say that Ganta is a difficult protagonist to get a read on. |

| I've always known the manga for having a reputation that it was one of the better of newer romances. I took a bit of a glance at the manga and I think it looked a bit prettier than this adaptation. I think I'll read it sometimes later. About the series, I think it had quite a poetic premise. About a boy and a girl finding the cure to overcome their trauma in a space that they found and preserved. Insomnia can be a very relatable experience for everyone even if they're not medically diagnosed of it. The reason why the both of the characters had one could be relatable to ones either. Also, I've always liked a starry night sky in anime, like that one scene in Bakemonogatari. Idk it feels nostalgic and like the most romantic thing ever |

| I adored everything about episodes 1-13. I was watching it from debut but found it struck such a chord in me that I reserved it to watch an episode only on rough days. Many episodes I even watched twice. Kimi wa Houkago Insomnia basically became therapy for me. Such a magnificent piece of work. |

| The astronomy clubs trip has come to an end, and with it this season of Insomniacs After School. This show had stunning visuals of the night sky, and two leads so wholesome you might just aww at them more than their club cat mascot. I'm happy this show got a dub. I hope it gets a season two as well! |

| I've been thinking this over for a day, but I still think this anime is a straight-up masterpiece. Yes, on paper, it might not be much, but "magic" is the only way I can describe the effect this show had on me. That scene on the beach with the night sky mirrored on the still waters is forever engrained in my memory. I'm not very optimistic, but I sincerely hope to see them again in Season 2. At least, I would like to see more anime like this. |
| What a beautiful ending to an incredible season. I really like Nakami and Magari's relationship, their development was very heart-warming and felt like it progressed naturally. This is definitely in my top 10 romance anime now... not that I've watched too many, but still. I hope we see S2 soon! |
| Man, this show really strikes a chord with me, being somewhat of an insomniac myself lol. Glad to see the two had no regrets and were able to share their feelings with each other too (Magari-chan doing it much earlier in bold fashion of course). The two reminiscing their journey thus far individually yet together was really sweet! Funding for the club coming soon, that’s one less worry out of the way. Magari-chan grounded for a week, I wonder what punishment her older sister might’ve gotten… She even left behind undisputed proof online, xD. 7.5/10 from here. |

| I was bit reserved when the astronomy thing was getting introduced. Imagined that this show will bombard with loads of constellations info, but it all stayed grounded. Loved everything the music(added to my collection now), the art, character designs, the synergy among the cast and how nothing was over dramatic and everything felt balanced. The more I look back, the more I appreciate how nothing tried to impose itself too much. Came across this anime in a random reel, which had the scene where Isaki was wrapped by a curtain by her friends in the classroom & Nakami entered right when she frees herself out..everything transitioning to slo-mo. That one reel got me checking out the summary..and here I am at the end of it. Thankful to all the creators who put it all together :) |
