| This film was a feast for the eyes! What do you get when your therapist tries to help you through a lucid dream? Well your certain to run into a lot of wild sequences that reality can't touch. It was very enjoyable. My favorite part was the Sun Wukong reference with Paprika riding on the cloud. |

| I hate to go against the grain, but this series did nothing for me... I don't know, it's so weird to see Attack No 1 at a rating of 6, meanwhile this series and FLCL have super high ratings. I have to wonder, is a Demon Slayer and Jujutsu Kaisen thing? Is the animation really boosting it? I don't know... For one, the ending was an ass pull. It was stupid. The romance was disgusting. I get what they were trying to say. Looks don't matter and blah blah blah. Except, they sort of do... Here's the thing... As bad as it is, people do look with their eyes first. What you need to do is show the unattractive person in a sympathetic light and have their personality be appealing. Here's a great example: Hibiki Shiranami from Dance Dance Danseur. She isn't attractive, but she has an aura about herself. When she dances, she looks as graceful and poised as a princess. Tokita has absolutely no charisma whatever. Okay, perhaps his personality? Except, his personality isn't appealing. He's immature, lazy, and lacks common sense. As shallow as it sounds, he's not even particularly wealthy. There's basically no appeal to him at all. He's sloppy and gross looking, his personality is trash, and he has no charisma or aura. So wtf does she even see in him? I mean, they don't even seem like friends... She insults him constantly. And it never implied that she was a Tsundere of any type, so wtf? |

Bruh... what the hell did I just watch? I knew it was avant garde, but I didn't expect it to go this heavy. I was expecting it to be like When They Cry (another avant grade show), where it is confusing at first, but then gets more understandable the more you watch.

Some shows can be confusing, yet enjoyable at the same time. I did not enjoy this movie one bit. I was never invested in its "story" or characters. You could say it's not my type of show, then again, what does this movie have to offer again?
So how do I rate a movie I didn't enjoy which made no sense? Idk. For now, it gets below-average, a 4 out of 10.

| @MaxiDennis Please don't let this sour you. Perfect Blue is a great movie, and I highly recommend it. This was slop. I'm guessing Satoshi Kon's name and the great art is hard carrying the rating. Because there's just no way. |

An amazing visual experience. That's for sure.
Story was also engaging enough except for the last few minutes featuring the final confrontation. The way in how it was solved felt kinda abrupt in my opinion.
Also, don't misunderstand me but Chiba having romantic feelings for Tokita came so out of nowhere it sure ended up being the most WTF moment in the entire movie.

Was pretty epic, really liked it. Shame Chiba/Paprika didn't end up with Konikawa but oh well, at least they had a hot kiss. Also, the theme song was rlly cool and rad.

I really like Satoshi Kon's work.
I feel like this was almost an extension of Paranormal Agent, which was a great series.
Compared to Perfect Blue, I actually prefer this type of style much more.
7/10, like Paranormal Agent -- Perfect Blue I scored average (5/10) for reference.
I think it's because the characters are more likeable. I found Chiba falling in love with Tokita refreshing. Though Tokita was sometimes the brunt of the joke, they humanized him than just making him "that one fat person."

| @Lycan I found their relationship the worst part of the show. They actually didn't humanize him. He's still one of the more unappealing characters on the show. An example of humanizing the unattractive person is Dance Dance Danseur. Not the anime, but the later chapters of the manga. I seriously wish the anime could come back, but alas... This example didn't even humanize them. It was a flat out self-insert. They didn't even seem to have a decent friendship. I never got romance or even friendliness. Until the plot twist, I assumed that she found him annoying, but she also respected his intelligence. Basically, that one coworker that you find irritating, but you work with them because they're good at their job when you hold their feet to fire. And she had more charisma with Konakawa. I was pulling for them. |
| I've been meaning to watch this movie for a couple of years and finally, after so long, I got the opportunity to watch it for the first time and I was thoroughly impressed. The music, animation, and art style were perfect for the themes of the movie, and it did an excellent job of depicting the parallels between the dream world and the outer world. I also liked Paprika; she was an exciting character, and her personality and temperament were ideal for dealing with the problems she encountered in the dream world, unlike her counterpart. Overall, it was a wonderful film with an exceptional story. |

| Very cool movie. Now I see what inspired Inception. Dream sharing is a pretty cool and scary thing at the same time. The animation was absolutely beautiful. It reminds me of Akira and Perfect Blue. The romance and the random nudity were the least favourite parts of the movie for me though. I'd definitely rewatch this again and again. |

| Totally masterpiece.The music was perfect, the plot was interesting, the animations were great. If you like a mindblowing kind of movie, you'll enjoy it more. |
