| The fight is marvelous. With Jigen counting and Kawaki's flashback, it was like psychological and thriller anime. Boruto literally covers a lot of genre. Jigen's voice actor (Tsuda Kenjiro) did a very good job. I had goosebumps all the time. Hope I won't have a nightmare playing hide and seek with Jigen tonight. How Kawaki is drawn and animated at the end reminds me of manga style and 189 Really looking forward to how it turns out. It's gonna be fire🔥 |

| This episode was just wow! The animation was also way better than i imagined it. Kawaki you poor soul :C you rememebered me of Naruto that never left his friends behind and never ran away. Like Student like Teacher huh? <3 |

Boruto's chapters are quite a bit longer than most manga chapters so a lot will happen in 53. To answer your second question, we are actually not far away from the manga. As of right now, the manga is on chapter 62 so I imagine there will be quite a bit of filler/anime canon after this arc finishes to let the manga go on ahead. |

| I'm glad that this fight was adapted like this. They added some stuff to make it better and I appreciate that. Definitely one of the best episodes in this arc, on par with the episode when Kawaki fought Boro but even better. |

| The fight was incredibly animated and beautiful, but there's one other aspect of this episode that was just as beautifully done that we need to talk about. The culmination of Kawaki's PTSD from how Jigen treated him, I love the careful attention to detail regarding mental health through the second half of the Boruto anime. It was haunting to watch. Boruto 217 was one of the best episodes in the entire franchise, honestly. |

| This was arguably the best episode in the entire Boruto series in my opinion. I can't remember the last time I teared up from anything Naruto-related, but for some reason this episode really struck a chord with me. Seeing how much of a profound and positive impact Naruto had on Kawaki's life made me feel really nostalgic. It made me remember why I fell in love with the Naruto series and the Naruto character in general. Great action, fantastic animation, and touching emotional beats make this episode an instant classic for me. |

| im reading the manga so i watch the episodes that i know are going to be absolutely nuts and this was adapted 10/10 im so glad everything about this was fire |

| Best episode in the series so far hands down. The battle choreography, that Rasengan animation, the emotion behind what's gonna be Naruto's last stand according to the flashforward, it was just wonderful. He's gonna die next episode most probably. I'm still not prepared to witness that. |

| I think that is exactly the problem with this anime. I mean isn't Baryon mode a huge think and isn't Isshiki is the strongest? How could this fight end up in an episode?? |
| Am I really the only one who noticed the homage to DBZ's Cell when he screams for android 18 to show herself? Anyway, second half of the episode with Kawaki was the essence of this entire arc and it was pretty great, ngl. Didn't care for Naruto vs Jigen much, it was whatever. |

| As of today, this is the highest rated episode of Boruto on both MAL and IMDb with also the highest number of votes. However, it still disappoints... somehow. The design choice of making Naruto's Baryon Mode cloak a bright red that clashes with the rest of his design baffles me to no end. True Baryon Mode For the record, this is what Baryon Mode is supposed to have looked like. The orange should have either matched the orange of his clothes (image 2) or had a glow similar to Naruto's KCM (image 1).   Instead, we got a disappointing ketchup-chili-pepper-tomato kind of red that clashes with his design and just looks... bad, for lack of a better term.  Design choices aside, the level of animation here was below that of 189 and even 204, which is imo inexcusable. How can they put so little effort into what is most likely to be the last time we see Naruto go full throttle? This should have at least matched the level of animation of 189 to give Kurama a proper send-off. Shame, Pierrot. Shame. I cannot give this a score higher than 2/5 in good conscience. I'm very surprised that it was rated this high considering all the wasted potential, but I guess Boruto fans will eat up whatever they get considering the amount of filler they have to wade through to get to even something subpar. |
