Even though she smokes, she's too hot to handle... Literally I'm reading they're rushing a full book in an episode. If that's what's happening here, well, it's quite a great start. I can't imagine how intricate Kowloon was, but in this episode, I can see some of the charm. It reminds me somehow of Garden of Words, which was visually stunning, but looked like a classic from the 90s as well. It's interesting |

| I thought this would be some sort of bittersweet daily life drama with a pinch of romance...but also we got sci-fi, conspiracy, political corruption, shady companies owning everything and one unsettling mystery. As production quite nice character designs and character animations, well thought locations (which make sense story wise), some of the best japanese VA, but more importantly unique atmosphere. I am liking this show so far. |

| It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it, is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service. |

| What an amazing first episode. Since I saw the trailer, I was hooked by the animation style reminding me of 90's anime, but the atmosphere is what really impressed me. The background music was so immersive that it made me forget everything else and focus on the anime. Both the OP and the ED are great, and well.... Kujirai's fanservice? *Ufff* 🔥🔥🔥🔥 And that plot twist with Kujirai and Kudou's picture, Totally got me. I guess the whole city could be some kind of simulation made by that futuristic city, and that Kujirai is starting to disconnect from it, that's that scene in the coffee shop where the waiter suddenly disappears and the whole place turns into ruinsand because all the inhabitants have that love and nostalgia for Kowloon. I can't wait to see how this all unravels, especially now that she's starting to question everything...and that kiss was 10/10. |

| Visually, this was just amazing. Am not familiar with the story of the manga, though if the anime keeps me interested, I'll end up giving it a read. Really interesting so far. Might be the best first episode of a new anime this season so far. |

| LOVE THE ART STYLE. I love the old Chinese/Hongkong esque aesthetic. I came in to this without knowing anything because I only saw the cover and decided to watch it since I liked the art and saw the decent ratings, but came out with something that might actually be interesting. I don't know what's up with the floating thing in the sky, and the mystery-ness of Kudo, but I hope it turns out to be something amazing and intriguing. |

| Been anticipating the release for this! So excited it's finally out, and the episode was stunning. Everything about this was amazing, from the visuals, the music, the voice acting, storytelling, atmosphere/ambiance, it was all so good! Can't wait to watch more of this. I almost want to read the manga right now, but I don't want to spoil myself. |

| Goddamn, that was good. I figured out she had lost her memories part way through the episode, but that didn't lessen the impact of the final scene. That is how you know the execution was top notch. I noticed they emphasized her looking at that prism thing in the sky on several occasions. I'm sure it is connected somehow. Also, the PA giving a heat stroke warning and then Hajime mentions how hot that rooms gets. He looked annoyed while talking about it, so maybe she actually had a heat stroke in that room and it affected her memories. Not sure what is up with her vision, but I'm guessing that is connected too somehow. Who knows, but it was all very interesting and I can't wait to find out more. The art was fantastic and the animation was good too. I don't really have any complaints. Just overall a very good start. Forgot to mention how awesome and refreshing the setting is. That may be the best part actually. PS: Also, Crunchyroll translating, "Baka" to, "You silly goose," should be a crime. Just awful. I can't imagine what else they did as I barely know Japanese. |

| A question for the smokers, on a hot day, wouldn't smoking make you even hotter? Seem like it would make you feel uncomfortable? Interesting first episode, I don't really see how the "nostalgia" fits in, but the last bit about her maybe losing her memories is interesting. |
Note: I don’t lazily watch 3-5 episodes, biasedly compare to other anime, or unfairly judge by surface level similarities. With every anime I start, I watch the entire series, both Japanese Sub & English Dub, then judge each anime based on what they present, to give an honest and fair rating. |

| If she's 32, I'm 32, Gaddamn. Kidding aside, wow, I am really digging the setting, the mystery, the main leads, everything about it so far. There's definitely some time shenanigans here, possibly looping, I don't think OP tried to hide it either, there's definitely some kind of looping. Kowloon also being about nostalgia, then whatever the fuck that generic terra is. I've heard this adaptation was going to be rushed, but I hope that's not the case, though either way, I think I'll peek the manga. |

There's a night and day difference between a highschool romcom and a mystery scifi heavy story. I'd highly recommend trying the rest of the manga.@FMmatron Same here, my most anticipated show this season! | @MegamiRem Thanks, I’m planning to keep up with the manga weekly after watching the anime, so I don’t ruin the animated experience, lol. Sorry to barge in on the other convo, but I found Relife Kanketsu-hen fine, lol. Maybe because I’d already come to terms with the fact that they’d be adapting bits and pieces from all over. I’d rather had that than them trying to adapt all the remaining content into 4 episodes. |

| Okay a story in a dystopian sci-fi hong kong why not and it seems like the girl previously died and had her memories transferred to another body even though she doesn't remember her relationship with the male MC, this is mysterious so far and I want to learn more about this world especially the thing floating in the sky. |
