Just 1 question didn't the deduce somewhere in in Season 3 that the petrification device doesn't work remotely, I mean over radio signals?
@PranaM09 No, the first time Senku attempted to use it against Ibara (episode 19) the speaker wasn't close enough to the medusa. Radio works fine if the radio is close enough and the medusa has a working battery.
Yes...I ate 5 slices of pizza...those mozzarella sticks were good too...Yes, I'm lactose intolerant, what about it??

Who the hell is gonna revive them after they all turn to stones, no one's gonna be out there to save them, or will they wait another 3700 years again for that revival fluid to drop on some of them by coincidence, maybe that medusa won't even be able to cover 12800000 meters since why man needed a mountain of medusas to petrificate the earth, or maybe Why man will intervene,

Peak episode! Now who's gonna revive them? Still so many questions left, who the hell is Whyman and why did he use Senku's voice of all people? What is the origins of the medusa and how so many appeared in South America? And they actually going to the Moon in cour 3?

@PranaM09 No, it's just that the voice must be really close to Medusa, the watch was next to it.

Peak af episode 🔥🔥🔥, straight 10/10 man. Literally everyone died and that last Senku's voice to the dr stone was epic af.
@Apratim the lights also look like his hair

anyways, dark episode, kind of touching but i really wish they'd just kill the bastards. I know it's a kind of show where the good guys are generally nice but homicidal maniacs with world domination on their minds aren't welcome anywhere, and they won't stop with just a slap on the wrist.

No im sorry No

this was absolutely epic
i couldn't even stop moving forwards and backward the whole ep
this is so much more than i signed for at s1, that was the biggest "F*CK YOUUU" they could have ever dropped on Xeno's face. It wasnt just sciemce, wit, hardwork and commitment, what the young science team did is the equivalent of Seizing a God's power and using it for themselves, a symbol of weakness and impotence for humanity, tamed by a teenager with good intentions and who beat everyone with nothing more than faith in his absolute passion and the friends he made along the way

huge props for such a work, this ep, for me, elevated this series to another level

Wow man, I never could have predicted a turn of events like this. You’re telling me they’re gonna purposely stone the whole world again? That is insane lol, talk about coming full circle, get it because the earth is a circle? But really man this whole episode was wild, the absolute balls to kill almost every character we know and love right in front of our faces, I know they’re gonna be resurrected but it is still such a shocking sight to see them all get gunned down, and you also have to respect the bravery of these characters to face down being shot, even the ones that aren’t combatants like Joel and Yuzuriha, they’re all absolute troopers, can’t say I could do the same if I was in that situation.

And I have to give it to Joel, he may be a last second character they only introduced for the purpose of recreating the Medusa device, but he absolutely came in clutch here, not only finishing the device but also pulling the trigger on it when no one else could. And he used the transmission from Why Man to do it too? Dr. Stone I’m sorry for ever having ever any doubt in you at any point this season (of course, there were even issues in this episode, but still), this climax episode was so damn good man, all the buildup was worth it. Now I just wonder, what’s the plan for reviving everyone after the world gets stoned? Are they actually gonna be stoned for another however many years until someone wakes up, or do they have a plan for that? Guess we’ll see.

Great episode, intense and well thought out like always but i just don't understand two things, i didn't get the diamond splitting in half being the reason the device works can anyone explain? second is the Why Man message, did Senku make his own that loops just before he was supposedly shot?

Anyhow 3 more episodes for this season to end (it's not the finale if i'm right?) i can't even picture what will happen i just hope our characters will come back :')
@ropiel I think we might get an explanation of sorts, but that'll have to wait until we get the reveal about Whyman and the nature of the Medusa devices. It's all scifi level stuff, iirc, but even in the manga, I feel like it was glossed over on how precise it has to be, only Joel and Kaseki really have the technical skill to manage it, practically

I don't usually comment, but this episode was completely insane?? The twists, the stakes, everything was absolutely brilliant. I was a bit perplexed about this season, but last week's episode and this one are perhaps the best in the entire series.

I hope we'll not have to wait another 3000 years for them to be de-petrified.

This was truly our Doctor Stone, 5/5.
@Anama We'll likely move right into the next short arc in the next episode, if I had to guess, depending on how much setup is involved in the interim before the wave reaches South America. Hint, remember the cracked receptacle for the Medusa device on the tower at the Araxa fortress, it'll be important

This level of brutality just doesn't fit the show. The mood and tone is too cartoony for it. This is the one time a complete shift in aesthetic would go a long way.

The plot itself is brilliant though. We have come full circle now.

called it once again. like literally.

it's not necessary to make it this much desperate dawg.
and what the fuck was that defeating gunned soldiers all the way to the vault room and not picking up their guns face the American engineer?

and the new device got enough juice to engulf the whole world? and why's there millions of them in south america then?

guess next episode gonna be senku making a nitric acid pouring timer contraption.

surely there won't be an another 4 thousand year time skip.
@ultramb Agreed. This episode was so ass. People are tripping over themselves over forced drama while ignoring all the giant plot holes and other issues.

The writing continues to plunge into the abyss this season. Those aren't even all the plot holes in just this episode. The first "suicide" charge resulted in zero "deaths" too, never mind not picking up their guns.

I will say that the "twist" at the end was interesting with involving whyman after so long, but again, it required a giant plot hole to execute.

I can’t believe we’re just killing everyone except Senku, Chrome, Gen, and Kasaki. Even if it’s not permanent the fact the they have to petrify the whole world again just for a chance to succeed keeps the stakes high.

Damn. This episode was brutal. Everyone was getting shot left and right. But no one died instantly. Because if they did they probably can't be revived by petrification lol. That's convenient.

But wow. They're petrifying the whole world again? How's that gonna work? Who can use the revival fluid if there's no one left? Don't tell me, there's going to be another massive time jump?! That'd be fucking crazy. But it'd also be another race against time between who reawakens first, Senku's team or Xeno's team? If that happens it'd be so fucking crazy. Really can't wait to see what happens.

the only thing I can think of is the radius stops at a certain distance. it went off in America, and I'm sure he calculated the size to end at a certain area. My only hope is someone legit is way outside the border of it

This episode was truly outstanding. Usually, anime targeted at younger audiences will remove bloody scenes and minimize violence, but in this episode, none of those restrictions were present.

For me, the rating of this episode is 9.3.
The drawback is the background music from minute 11 to minute 13. In such an important moment, the background track during those minutes felt very unsuitable.

Beautiful episode, hopeless yet hopeful, violence yet peaceful, working on both brain level and heart level, this episode make me want to predict this anime again

I predict that whyman has senku voice because he's probably senku from the future.
@phantomfandom yeah I think senku from the future actually created the medusa to save mankind from some kind of epidemic that would otherwise kill the entire planet, therefore senku is dr.stone and saved everyone?

@Gameranime88 The "voice" said 12million meters, and they already confirmed in a previous episode that's the diameter of the Earth. So nobody's gonna be outside the range

I suppose I don't quite understand why they needed millions(thousands?) of medusas if exactly one is enough to petrify the earth, again. I'm pretty ambivalent about all of the events thus far, except for the fact that literally nobody had any brilliant ideas to grab one of the many guns or devise any more brilliant plan -- they just dive bombed everything. Knowing this show, they'll end up reviving all of the genocidal maniacs anyways. Is the goal just to get to a point where there are more medusa devices so that there's a mutually assured destruction pact with the USA and Japan and then just everyone is happy and goes on doing their own thing?

Jokes aside, now the question is who was that in the end? Can’t be a broken recorder from the moon that keeps uttering that right? The entirety of Earth’s diameter covered though so strong chance of that, I surmise. Can’t be Senku there besides there was no indication of potable secondary communication device too.

That was the Whyman's voice that kept on transmitting towards the Earth. Our Science team found that when they established radio wave communication for the first time few seasons back. It was similar to Senku's voice that left them perplexed.

Don't you remember!?

@ropiel The diamonds are supposed to be a bit weaker in the center, such that energy courses through that specific part of the diamond. Think like how energy runs through a battery or wire in a specific way in order to have power, this is how it in theory works for the diamond. It's not that the diamond should be split in half, it should be whole but with a weaker point in the center. They have to make it weak enough for energy to course through it, but not weak enough to immediately break in half before putting it in the medusa. That's why crafting them is such a challenge!

Also, back in season 3 it was established that Why Man was communicating using an almost "Vocaloid" style synthetic replication of Senku's voice for the "12,800,000 meters, 1 second" message. This message has been playing on repeat but they stopped tuning to that frequency because they didn't want the medusa to be accidentally triggered. Joel tuned his watch to that frequency at the last second :3
@occultSim119 Thanks for the explanations and reminder for Why Man, tbh i forgot it sounded like Senku but it makes sense now !

I don't get why if they're so smart that they don't just set up a shower of sorts that dispenses revival fluid. I don't think they ever specified how much is required to revive one person. In the very first episode, Senku was revived by a tiny bit of cave bat urine acid, right? It was just drops of it if I remember correctly. It doesn't make sense that they set up these convoluted plans to revive, post petrification.

They could just suspend bottles or reservoirs of revival fluid with pinholes in them so they drip very slowly. All they would have to do is just run under or camp under one as petrification is about to start. I get that it's etching solution, so it's not exactly the kind of thing you want on your skin. But what danger are some chemical burns if petrification followed by revival makes wounds go away? It's an easy decision in my view.

Besides that, they could have looked into other methods of revival. It's dumb that they advanced down this arc after gaining the Medusa. The moon can wait. Developing alternate revival solutions should have come first. At least gather up some of those petrified birds and experiment on more ways to undo the petrification on the way to the Americas. That should have been a higher priority considering they have billions of people to revive.

Don't get me wrong, I love the story. I just don't see how these sorts of things aren't considered. We're looking at very easy and obvious solutions. Could I write something as good as this one? Definitely not, but I can't help from seeing very simple fixes to the struggles they're putting themselves through in the series. Anyways… I'm anxious to see how this plays out. Did someone do something intelligent with the revival fluid, or are we looking at another enormous time jump until Senku or any of the gang are moving around again. I can't wait to see.
