| I'm glad Yoshii's dead. Bloody psychopath. He said to Onishi that his wife was half-dead already because of him (Onishi)... is that a reference to what I perceived as her mental illness (talking on an unplugged phone)? I want to know more about that. And I hope we find out about Yoshii's "mission"... remember he once talked about how to word something in his "report"... did someone hire him? And he went rogue because he wanted to see human energy or whatever he kept talking about? I love this anime. |

| Yea, that was Yoshii's purpose. He basically started the whole mess, so even if he's dead, the mess he created won't be undone easily. Good job (for the plot) |

| So Yoshi is gone, and he never got to explain himself properly. For example, how did Yoshi become the twisted man we got to know? And what's the situation on the surface? Since this is my first entry in the forum for this show, I have to mention: I love the visuals. Totally my aesthetic. I also totally disagree on the action aspect. They've been dark, heavily stylized and lax with visual continuity since episode one, and I think they work excellently for this series. I still have a ton of questions about so many of the characters! |

| Unexpected, but now we're now an episode away from the half way point, and I'm still asking who the two main characters are and why has this show spent 10 episodes alluding that they are indeed important this plot, yet have not influenced it at all yet. Kinda sucks the one major plot progressing character is now dead....still interested but...also disappointed at the same time. I love the way this show sets the background each episode though...really excels at that. |

Still, he built up a lot of karma really quickly, glad he's gone. Too bad for Onishi. Besides being the (former) leader, he kinda just seems like that kind of guy who is just trying to chill and gets his day ruined by everyone else. |

| I'm actually glad he got killed off early since I'm not a fan of villains who just stir shit up for the hell of it. I mean, he was still an interesting character but 22 of having him as the main antagonist would have gotten dull real quick. This was the perfect time to do it, at the climax of his plans. |

| Interestingly, the word they translate to "spectacle" is 「祭り」、which means "festival." Community-building events where the city comes together, often at a shrine, to drink and eat and have fun as a community. The savagry of this particular festival seems to be a theme, especially with Ichise, who thus far has been no more than an animal, reduced to his baser instincts. The city has made him this way, with his father killed when he was a child, and his mother dying from the grief, he was trained to do nothing but punch people his whole life. He may have become normal, had he had a normal upbringing, but it seems that so far this is all he knows. I think he represents all of the city, and i think his "awakening" - his shift away from his baser instincts will also correspond to the awakening of the rest of the city. I'm still very curious about the ppl on the hill, are they the same as the class? Or are they the people of Gabe, like Ran? Are all three the same? |

| Although I do not care much about the convoluted politics, and I never did, Yoshii's death still shocked me! I never expected Yoshii to die here and now... Interesting, that is why this episode is called "Conclusion" Yoshii was the catalyst, I wonder what is going to happen now that he is gone. |

| Shit man I didn't want Yoshii to die that early, that had me in shambles. What a fantastic character, easily one of my faves. I'm interested in what direction this will take after arguably the best character dies. More Ichise introspection would be fantastic. |

| Kazuho wanted to create only one big clan with a single chief for the whole city from what I understood, but it's still really mysterious, Shinji didn't agree with him and the confrontation with Oonishi really made me thought that he would kill him, but I didn't expect Ichise to actually come and almost kill him, he finally got finished by Sakimura... Great episode, things are becoming more and more interesting but I also don't know how will be the show now without Kazuho |

| i love Yoshii's voice performance (is this how you call it?). it's sounds so fucking creepy and chill at the same time really wish there was more info about Texh production available in english. i have no idea why a bunch of the voice actors have only worked on this show |
| The more I see yakuza/mafia in anime/manga, the more I see underlings named "Sabu". I want to know more about that. Most likely refers to Onishi being pretty close with his secretary (?), much closer than with his wife in fact. But yeah the wife seemed quite detached from things. Yoshii was a nihilist, essentially. Not the first time I see such a character. |
| Man these politics are still misleading as fuck since they're not fleshed out well enough. It might be the one thing I don't enjoy about this anime. Rip Yoshi, I'm assuming his purpose has been fulfilled anyway. Shit's really going down lol |

| I just finished episode 10 and boy, was that ending unpredictable. Here I thought Yoshii was going to survive longer too. What a shame though but that is the beauty behind this show. The show is just showing you a story through visuals and without being bias towards any particular character too. |

| I'm not going to miss Yoshii, while he was the driving force of the conflict until now, he's actually quite annoying. The results of his actions have already stirred enough trouble for the remaining cast to deal with, so I don't really think we need him anymore so I'm glad that he didn't overstay his welcome. |
