The ending was emotional and almost destroyed , haven't cried that much since Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso , but what I came here for is to ask

* spoilers *

Inuyashiki san asked hero in the final episode , why were at that park at that night ?
Hiro didn't answer , and so this one made me curious and gave me some little hope for a sequel
anyway they are machines , it can't just end like that ...

Also it's a nice coincidence that the asteroid was gonna hit earth same as that meteor or I don't know what which was going to hit going to hit earth , it was synchronized at the same time of the manga when it was talking about the asteroid , I guess Inuyashiki san saved us

No there will be no sequel, The manga is fully adapted, we might get a recap movie or a special episode at the best.

Nope, Inuyashiki's anime adapts all 11 volumes of the manga. A sequel anime isn't possible unless they're aiming for an anime-original continuation, which MAPPA would never do.

I think he was at the park because he was contemplating over the suicide that he witnessed in the train station.

And what kind of sequel? Both character have died and the story ended, there's nothing to continue from unless you want to copy paste this anime and call it a sequel.

I know it seems impossible but I hope this continues somehow. I want a miracle to happen and Oku to start a sequel.

Since the series' name is Inuyashiki and it happens that the protagonist, Inuyashiki, is dead, I don't see any way to make possible a sequel, except if you want a story about his children, but nobody cares about them.

i only can confirm what most people here already said. :) although, and i dont want to go off-topic in this thread, i dont get why 50% of the people seem to hate on the anime and the other 50% seem to love it :D the reviews are so crazy mixed !! i liked it, it wasnt as deep in story as others but it was enjoyable.

But...

yeah I know it's more emotional , I mean Kaori is my waifu after all ;-; still rekt tbh and can't stop thinking about it xD
But I watched it 3 years ago I guess , right now I'm almost 20 , watching animes with MC that are younger than me is kind of depressing , and I know one day I'll groww up and be an old man , that's why I loved Inuyashiki , a main character who is an old man

Just cause the two main characters died doesn't mean their isn't any story left to be told. Who, what, and why?

Who made them into machines?

What were or are they?

Why did they do it and are their more then just the two from this story?

The follow up wouldn't even need to have any characters from this story in it. It could be a mystery someone investigating what they were delves deep into conspiracy over till they get the answer. Then probably die in a horrible way before telling another soul what actually happened. Lol

Op no. Let this shallow train wreck of an anime die.
I've surpassed your limit!
