| Yeah it seems similar but I doubt it will be anywhere near as good in my opinion, I've only seen the first season of initial D though but I doubt something like this can top it. |

I did not mean : will it top Initial D? I meant : will it have the same spirit/vibes ? The animation is pretty good (lot better than Initial D stage 1). Music seems decent, but I don't think it will top eurobeat. |
| Its very similar to initial D so far. The main characters is a high schooler who work a part time job and go to amateur but highly spectated street races up in the mountains above town where people are constantly beefing with one another and betting on the races. Obviously their differences show up mainly with the rule of attacking eachother and the blatant difference of cars vs skateboard, but this is extremely similar in feeling |

| For me, personally, Initial D either lacked a soul and simply didn't age well. Actually, this is what I felt like Initial D should've been (minus the poor musical choices in some scenes so far). We're only a few episodes in, though, so can't tell for sure. |

I was thinking of the Fujiwara Zone there too! But no. This isn't the new Initial D. The new and superior Air Gear is more like it. |
