Kozue was prepared to lose almost everything for Tsutomu, she really cares for him but that's not the way to help him. What a slap in her face though but now she's ok, they make a good couple.

This fucking dude must go to jail for his crazy behaviour.
Why did i even watch the whole episode about this retard? That was so boring, when are they gonna show something about a team?

Personally, I don't like the thought of Ayuhara x Tsutomu as a couple. They're too fundamentally different to work out, and he's a huge jerk.

Though I have to accept it because they're looking to be endgame. Though Ayuhara x football captain (even if he's a jerk as well), over Ayuhara x Tsutomu.

I actually like Tsutomu. He is allowed to be much more of his own person than these kind of shows would typically. He is not a prince, his life doesn't revolve around Kozue and both of them are allowed to have their own struggles to resolve. Kozue isn't really a typical shoujo MC either.

This episode kind of highlights what the fantasy was for young girls in the early 70s though. A man who will slap you around because he can't accept help from his partner, he has to find his own way or he wouldn't be hot anymore... Violence really is justice in this show.

There is a lot of violence and abuse in general in this show, I find it kind of surprising. I guess everyday life in Japan was way more chaotic in the 60s/70s. Can't imagine many of these characters in a modern sports show for girls. Even Aim for the ace that aired a few years later was already toned down compared to this.
