I know the anime either has or pretty much has caught up with the source material and the source material seems to be on indefinite hiatus but MAPPA can't leave it there right? Surely they didn't plan to for this to be an unfinished show from the get go? I'd settle for an anime original ending because I need to know what happens next. This anime has been so refreshing, I don't think I need to say how repetitive certain anime troupes are but this show was new for me in pretty much every aspect. I'd hate to see it not finish.

Base on the Blu-ray/DVD sale and manga sale. And the web manga is on hiatus, but the one that Cool-kyou Shinja illustrated are still ongoing. And this could be like something similar to Death Note or Oshi no Ko, which is the story writer and the illustrator are different. So we still don’t know if there’s a S2 or not. And if there is, it will took at least 2 years for MAPPA to have enough source material.

I sure hope so, they chose to do only 11 episodes (which is unusual) and they ended in a pretty big cliffhanger so I hope they did that because they plan to do a season two

Most Noitamina shows are 11 or 22 episodes long, so it's not that unusual. Considering that it's completely caught up I don't see a second season happening soon

In my opinion, there's no way they could leave us off on a big cliffhanger like that (although I may be wrong). There is so much interpretation that could be done with that ending that the finale is up to one's imagination. We can only guess what Amahara, and by extension Coolkyousinnjya, plan to do with the series, but it will definitely take some time to get enough source material for MAPPA or anyone else to animate it. But however the ending will turn out, it could be a big surprise that none of us saw coming (unless you have Miku-like capabilities).

Yea, this is written by Amahara(Interspecies Reviewers) and illustrated by Cool-Kyou Shinja(Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid).

Amahara illustrate the web manga by himself(that version dont look good at all). And Cool-kyou Shinja decide to pick up and illustrate the manga from the beginning for the book version. The web manga has been on hiatus(not sure for how long but its before Cool-kyou Shinja pick it up). So the manga might be continue that way. We will see will Amahara continue the series when Cool-kyou Shinja caught up to the current chapter in the web manga.

I'd say we'll get it eventually, but with such a weird release schedule, I guess we'll have to wait a bit.

not enough content currently. this series goes on hiatus a lot because Cool-kyou Shinja has a ton of other projects especially all the dragon maid sequels. so not any time soon.

Pro tip for anime.

if a series only has 5 or less volumes it's most likely the anime is being made as a advertisement.

MAPPA, Cool-kyou Shinja, and Amahara. All has a lot of works waiting. Amahara at least working two manga now, the rebooted ver. of the series was released at least once in two months. While MAPPA is busy with great project like CSM, JJK, and AOT. Even if there is enough source, with this quality of animation, im worried there's not gonna be any animation studio other than MAPPA that brave enough to be at least at the same level animation.

So im started to think, at the first place why does they has an idea to made an adaptation of a series that has been in hiatus in like 5 years at cliffhanger, while the rebooted ver. was not even enough for being source of one cour anime.

Is it to make people interested to the manga and buying it to read the sequel?... then they're just make it happen, im wanted to see how the story continue. But the sequel not even exist yet, and we need to wait for several year. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!..sorry im raging up.

A lot of anime original shows end well. I recently watched great teacher Onizuka and the anime ended before the manga so I assume that was anime original and that was good.
