I'll agree on it's being complicated.
However, Jinguuji is well aware that he's been in love with the male Tachibana for a very long time; that was clearly stated in some of the lead-in sequence.
Tachibana, on the other hand, has been trying to get Jinguuji married off for about as long, since every girl he tries to get involved with goes for Jinguuji instead.

Jinguuji wants Tachibana changed back... but whether due to an act of that shitty Goddess of Love & Beauty, or just the knowledge that it really is his beloved Tachibana inside that female body, for the first time in his life he's being attracted to a female.
Tachibana, on the other hand, is finding whateverself to be attracted to Jinguuji. Again, whether it's due to an act of that shitty Goddess of Love & Beauty, or that in a female form whatever is suddenly perceiving just why every girl he tried to get involved with zeroed in on Jinguuji instead...

So I can't say it qualifies as Yaoi; indeed, a true Fujoshi might be appalled.
Consider how YuriCrusader would react if this had been done with a pair of women, one interested in the other and the other not, and a genderflip was done in the same fashion with the same follow up; she'd projectile vomit at the thought that one of her girls now had a thing between her legs.

But to me at least, the way they're playing it makes for a most amusing genderbender rom/com.

MTF or Transgender woman is what I would consider Tachibana to be. It would have been less weird if he was a futanari, or if he transformed from male to female periodically, like in the anime "Kampfer".
But no, the bunny goddess had to go and make it weird for the rest of us. Now we gotta have this ludicrous debate.

I would say yes, jinguuji is gei, he loves tachibana as a guy as i see it from my perspective that is. Well tachibana is a girl 100℅ physically but the soul is tachibana kinda manly and stuffs, so probably its not really yaoi but its actually yaoi.

My viewpoint is that the other guy is safe, Tachibana is a genetic female, but Tachibana would be gay, the other dude is obviously a man. Of course, that's assuming that being in a female body isn't altering his sexuality, but I believe we're to assume that any such feelings are all related to the curse, right?
