It was good untill some stupid aliens Deus Ex Machina shit. They clearly didn't didn't bother much with the original plot line. This show didn't provide any proper conclusion. I have no clue what this was trying to do.

This show would have a lot of potential if not for the "alien attacks and ends". They tryna be slick with the Evangelion-esque ending but completely forgot that Evangelion was an all inclusive show; whether it's the human nature or the sci-fi aspect.

The drama that had occured towards the end was also a let down. It wasn't a least bit interesting. They tried to force it and completely destroyed what they had built up.

for everyone confused about the ending - it's a CloverWorks thing. they're infamous for being behind shows with extremely high potential, only to have wacky ass endings that fall flat on their face.

three recent examples of CloverWorks-ness ruining otherwise good shows:
1. wonder egg priority (could've been so amazing)
2. the promised neverland s2 (could've been so amazing)
3. fate/grand order - absolute demonic front: babylonia (actually was amazing, in spite of severe CloverWorks fuckery in the final third)

I just don’t like the ending. SPOILER WARNING to anyone who hasn’t seen the ending yet. (Although if you haven’t, then why the hell are you even here, lol?)

It was rushed, made little sense with the rest of the story, felt anticlimactic, and it literally killed off the main characters for no good reason. I would’ve preferred if they had just left it open-ended instead of whatever the hell that was. Because that ending is the bane of my existence; my one true enemy.

No joke, if it had a better ending, it would be in my top ten EASILY. I am absolutely in love with the rest of the show.

Yeah the last couple of episodes of WEP was the worst anime experience Ive had. The final episode made me legit angry

If you liked the 9’s then you are a strange person, they were mindless and heartless puppets.

This anime is literally the first anime I watched and also my favorite anime, because of all the connections to Social Science & Science, but of course you wouldn’t understand that.

Note: I don’t lazily watch 3-5 episodes, biasedly compare to other anime, or unfairly judge by surface level similarities. With every anime I start, I watch the entire series, both Japanese Sub & English Dub, then judge each anime based on what they present, to give an honest and fair rating.

to be fair they both have a part to play in making the ending dogshit lol. Trigger can be awesome, just like CloverWorks can be, but they're practically the two most painful-to-watch studios ever when they're at their worst XD

I thought the opposite. The animation, the OST, the VA, the futuristic aspect, all of these are more unique than most anime. While the story after ep 15 isn’t the greatest, it’s still rather unique comparatively to all of the same shows out there. And it’s also definitely not an Evangelion copy because they are pretty dang different.

The right mindset when watching an anime is hoping that it will break your top 10

I gave the show a 9 and that’s purely because of character development. I liked how they made romance happen between two characters even though it was forbidden what they did. The ending definitely was rushed but with that aside it’s actually a pretty good show.

It was interesting to watch. 🙂

It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines
and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it,
is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service.

I thought this show was amazing in a lot of ways, I don’t get why people hate or don’t like it.. it feels like expectations vs reality let people down, but to me it’s one of the best animes I ever watched
