I have to say, they did this finale episode justice even though it didn't feel as tense as the previous few. It looks like they just wanted this to wrap up since this has been one of the longest matches.

Turns out, Yuu decided to take action after all with a knife. Crazy shit but she did go through a LOT this season. Kei still carried the majority of this show though.

I hope they'll explain in the manga how exactly Kei survived and that Yuu will know about it. Now is the time to start reading. Overall, some of the stuff were even more hardcore than in Fukumoto's titles, so I'm satisfied with the show.

I managed five minutes of this episode before I had enough.

This is absurd. I'm dropping this from a 9 to a zero.

[Edit: apparently this post is about the episode before. I'm unsure how it ended up here.]

"Thanks Yuu, so the conclusion is that overall this episode revealed Koori no K (Ice K) as the real mastermind in the series plot."

Dojima you bad boy! But considering that he's the author favorite, getting his own spin-off manga, and even a sequel to his spin-off manga too! I could see a situation where the author might think of making Dojima a lead guy and K as his rival instead.

I can clearly see that the author was inspired by the work of Nobuyuki Fukumoto, which create the whole gambling (especially Mahjong) fused with organized crime (yakuza, to be precise). So I just want to say something, there are a lot of genre that is actually popular in manga form but very few get adapted into anime (compare to other genre like isekai), for example in gambling, pachinko, horseracing, etc. So it's nice to see the anime adaptation from one of those overlooked source material.

But please, I'd prefer something less violence next time! This anime getting season 2 is also nice (the manga's sequel hasn't finish yet) but there are also many good gambling manga waiting to get adapted as well.

What a great fucking series. Even though it suffered from the animation and direction the brilliant voice work carried the show. Its sad the show wasen't considered for best anime of the year but for me this is a show for adults.

Looks like there’s more to come and this isn’t the end yet, so here’s hoping for a second season if we ever get one.

The ending felt kinda ridiculous in how it played out, but there were still some great moments sprinkled in. For a second, I thought the parents redeemed themselves, but nope—they stayed scum till the end.

I do feel a bit sad for Yuu—hope she recovers soon. As for Kei and Amina, their reunion still hasn’t happened, so I’m holding out for that moment.

Damn! Wasn't expecting Yuu to snap and kill Hatori, he got what he deserved, she really loved Kei. I hope her mind recovers and she and Kei have a proper relationship. Thought Kei’s parents had redemption but πŸ™‚‍↔️ they got their comeuppance as well as property of the Takatsu Clan. Maybe another season?

This is the worst crash of an anime that I have ever seen since I started watching cartoons in 1978. They even ended the season with zero mention of Amina, which was K's sole reason for persisting. Unfortunately, I can only rate this 1/10. I wish I could rate it lower.

New season? Hah. sign me out.

@Love_And_Forward What are you talking about? They showed Amina in the ending.

Glad to see Yuu take out Hatori, dude was trash. A shame she lost her mind though. Probably doesn't know K is alive either. K's parents are trash as well. Wasn't expecting to see K alive in the end, but once Dojima was calling in a sub I realized it had to be K.

All in all some very good episodes, gonna give this a 7/10. A shame it took so long for this series to get any sort of official translation.

Insane finale for an insane arc for an insane mahjong anime, i don't care how incredibly underrated it is or if the animation can be considered subpar, this was such an entertaining show from start to finish, K is just that guy i would love to see how he would fare against Akagi or Washizu, this guy at this point is as crazy as them,

Still i'll say this ending is a bit frustrating because they're clearly teasing the next arcs which probably won't be adapted like ever, the manga doesn't have a translation from what i know too, i guess the best thing for me is continuying Ten which this anime gave me the want for more mahjong media.

Extremely solid 8.5/10, would have gave 9 if last arc was a bit better paced i'd say, will be dearly missed, i guess it's back to classic nekketsu and isekais of the week, sure gonna miss my crazy gokudou mahjong saturday :(

edit: also K's parents worst parents ever shown in media

Even though Yu won the game, it took guts for Kei to sacrifice everything on the line, as Hatori explains his little trick with the help of his parents in disguise. But going back to Kei's own proposition to anchor the game on his end by hiding the location of the Whites, Hatori's perfect plan went up in smoke once Kei saw through his plan and hanged himself to put a stop to his plan.

Hatori may have walked away scot free, but Yu being traumatized enough, lands the final blow to brutally kill him then and there. And the post-analysis for the Takatsu Clan to finally get their hands on the Roster and shake up the mahjong scene with the San'ou Group in Osaka, especially with Dojima and Kei, who's still kicking under rehabilitation.

The most overlooked show (because of sub availability) broke the show, but it has its tense moments.

Show had some crazy twists and turns and honestly had it not been for Kei’s character, this would’ve been a drop for me. Wish we got to see the reunion of Amina and Kei but at least it’s good to know that he did make it out despite that insane suicide move. Hard to believe all that happened in just 5 mins lol, guess that’s anime logic for you though.

Kei’s parents betraying him like that in the end through the staged death was despicable. Kei even figured it out, jeez.

So glad that they posted all eps on YT like that, hope more shows do something like this preferably with eng subs.

Crazy ending. Yuu... with the spectacular scene, I was legit clapping watching her handle business. As for K, oddly, I wasn't surprised he survived (just basic plot armor or anime logic I guess?)

My concern is what is happening with Amina in the at the end? She's leaving K?
Did they kill off Seki yet? iirc, he was the one who kidnapped Amina from the hospital right?

I'm not sure how I'd rate this one yet.
Respectfully ofc

Kei's parents were really the worst... they were on Hatori side faking their death to cheat and telling him the tiles Kei had... good thing they didn't get any money in the end, also good job Yuu for killing Hatori in the end lol. That last scene with Dojima playing and Kei entering the room (in a wheelchair) you can't kill this dude ahaha, but that's a fitting ending I guess.

Well definitely one of the most edgy and not realistic anime possible but thanks to that it was so entertaining lol that's why I don't mind it in the end, I would give this anime a 6 out of 10 just for pure entertainment value

After all the stuff this girl has gone through, I don't blame her for needing to vent. Especially after a high stakes mahjong match with people getting hung behind her. Trauma on top of the other time she was up for collateral..

Suppose the Group kept her from going through the legal system. Might end up in a mental asylum.

Overall, I can't say I was charmed by the season. I still think there's potential in a mahjong anime, but this one doesn't have me sold on it.

I made it through this, although I'm not sure how. I assumed the anime would get better as it progressed, but NOPE! There was so much disconnection between characters that it was hard to feel pity for their situations. However, I did feel bad for Yuu's character; they would have to trash her, which was done throughout the entire series IMO. Yep, no season 2 for me, ever.

The ending is epic!
Kei and Doujima are incredible; together they're invincible!
And Yuu has risen in my esteem. A good stab, that's nice.
On the other hand, we don't even get Amina and Kei's reunion... which proves that Amina was just the girl in distress. A bit disappointing.

yuu didn't deserve allat like she literally is just a minor highschool girl who didn't risk any stupid bets like K, I was expecting K to literally have no limbs and in a wheelchair the final episode, and he has limbs but he still in the wheelchair which makes me half right, I don't know if there's more in the manga but he prolly doesn't have limbs at that point lmao just wish they don't do more shit with Yu she had enough.

Very evil show. To be honest, it was very unsettling to witness the character deaths, brutal injuries, severed fingers & toes, all of which were just a result of these dangerous Mahjong games.

The final boss is one annoying psycho with the voice of Kirito, Souma, Petelgeuse, who has deceptively and meticulously calculated his strategies to beat Kei in this high-stakes Mahjong game inside this manor of despair. I honestly believed that Kei's parents had really died from hanging, but it was all a deceptive plot since the parents had already sold off Kei. A bunch of scumbags.

I thought the Takatsu clan could never lay their hands on Hatori, so he could get away with that easily, but it was a deranged Yuu who would finish off Hatori for good. Good riddance, that bastard! Poor girl has suffered enough.

How could Kei still survive after his neck was hanging from a noose for several minutes? Plot armor? Anime logic?

I think high-stakes Mahjong like this may exist in real life within the underworld society. It pains me if it's true, as it would be truly unsettling and absolutely terrifying.

This anime is incredibly difficult to rate, tho. I've been on the edge of my seat watching these disturbing episodes. On one hand, I hated seeing lives wagered, even if they're fictional characters, but on the other hand, the anime itself was binge-worthy. (I didn't watch this weekly when it was airing.)

My final score would be 7/10. Idk, but that's just how I feel about this show. Pretty solid, but I can't recommend this show that easily because of its dark, violent nature.
