The 25th and final episode of Witch Watch ended with an announcement on Sunday that a second season is in production. The official website also revealed an announcement visual (pictured above).

Produced by Bibury Animation Studios, the first season premiered on April 6 and concluded on Sunday, consisting of 25 episodes. Crunchyroll and Netflix streamed the anime with English and other language subtitles and dubs, including French, German, and Spanish. The anime is licensed by GKIDS.

The anime series adapts Kenta Shinohara's comedy supernatural manga, which began in Weekly Shounen Jump in February 2021. Shueisha published the 23rd volume on September 4, with the 24th volume planned for a December 4 release. Witch Watch has a cumulative 4 million copies of its volumes in print.

VIZ Media simulpublishes the manga in English on its Shounen Jump website. The 15th volume was released digitally on August 26.

Finally, some encouraging news. I was starting to worry that we wouldn't get any more than anime promoting manga.

Not exactly surprised, I've been seeing a lot of advertisement for this show in HK and it seems like there was decent traction of it when I was in Japan over the summer too.

This series is very difficult to adapt because the author will have 50 slice of life chapters in a row and about half of them will be relevant but regardless I'm looking forward to more especially since the manga is entering it's final arc

My guess is this one will adapt up to the end of part 1.

First season was very enjoyable, didn't expect it to be this good. It was okay at first, but the more I watched, the better it got. Cast got very good synergy I liked how the characters interact with each other. I'm happy to hear it gets second season deserved.
