What's the Best Tougen Anki Song?
| Tougen Anki might have some (maybe a lot) of flaws, but I feel like it has some of the best sets of openings/endings. So far, the 2 openings it got have been my favorite openings from this year, and the endings have quite good too (especially the 1st one, also my favorite ending of the year so far). So, like the title implies, what's your favorite song so far from Tougen Anki? For me, personally, my favorite still is the first opening, done by The Oral Cigarettes, that drop in the chorus is so satisfying, and the full version of the song is even better. As expected from The Oral Cigarettes, they delivered with the opening. I can be doing my day-to-day life, and randomly my mind just goes "SO FAR FROM WHO I WAS". But this new opening is amazing too, I didn't know about Chogakusei before, but I will be listening more of his songs too (already took a listen to another one, and it's quite good too). They are both well animated too, as it actually follows the beat and vibe of the song. The same can be said for the 1st ending (it's a bit sad that the 2nd Ending only got still images, and no animation)! Feel free to comment your own opinions in this topic too! |

For real, it was a big plus for the anime already to have these 2 work on the Op/Ed at the same time. That mic drop sound at the end in the first opening is curious, because why did they add it, since the full version doesn't have that. Even with the 1st ending, they also add that finale to the song, that the full version of the song doesn't have. I'm not sure why they added these details for the TV edits. |
