I'm wondering about that myself. It's also never brought up by any of the other characters, which seems a bit weird. In Chunibyou the female mc also wears the same kind of eye patch, but it's just a cosplay basically, but I can't really see that being the case here.

But I guess we will find out about it at some point?

I'm waiting for it to come off, too. Maybe there's some symbolism, if he improves even further or something, or it's the last shot of the season or something?

I thought it was a fake eye patch and his clumsiness was just a lack of depth perception, but I'm not sure anymore.
