| I'm not sure why they felt the need to heal Vegeta, clearly they should've known that was going to be a bad idea, but Vegeta is certainly smart enough to make the most of it. |

The Budokai games really scraped the bottom of the barrel for characters back in the day. This doofus that literally just says "We found a village but Vegeta blew it up" and then gets smoked by a revived Vegeta was actually a whole-ass character in a game, lol.
Frieza's army really is just a bunch of idiots though. Bringing Vegeta back from the brink of death without someone strong enough to control him supervising the process was just...why, lol. Anyway, his strategy to steal the balls is pretty slick, Seeing characters that can think in Dragon Ball is always cool.

@animalia At this point in the story Zarbon still would've been strong enough to watch over Vegeta and not get blown away instantly before he escaped. My issue wasn't that they didn't just kill Vegeta but that they left some scrub with like 1000 power level monitoring him.
