| In the anime, you actually got to see quite a bit of Yomi vs. Yusuke & it was awesome. But regardless, in the manga pretty much all of it is off-screen. I like how the tournament played out & I wouldn't want to sit through all of it but the anime clearly handled this better. The little time-jump notwithstanding, I liked this chapter. I like how Yusuke introduced himself to Kuwabara & Kurama and I especially like the closing moments of the chapters. |
| I like how the arc begins in a really serious tone but then just goes full comedy. As soon as the tournament is announced, there really isn't a need to see it fully. It's all supposed to just play with your expectations and that has already happened by this point. So I actually like that they skip the end of the tournament and just explain it for comedic effect. That the winner is a pretty random demon is just so fun. The whole arc could have been serious and would probably be better if it was, but I think Togashi did the best of the situation. |
| Wow they really skipped the Hiei vs Mukuro, Kurama vs Shigure and Yusuke vs Yomi fights. i would be heated if i haven't already seen the anime lol The spirit world being evil and Koenma impeaching his father was a surprise, the anime should've included that. |
