Most Tragic Story?

I just finished watching Bokurano and I have to say it was extremely sad.

Just wondering who you guys felt had the most tragic death. For me personally it was Chizuru. Getting seduced and tricked by her teacher only to find out she was being used and he was also involved with her older sister was so sad. And the fact that she was pregnant just made it all the more depressing =[

The manga story of Chizuru is far more... 'tragic', than how it was in the anime; surprised me, to say the least.

Kirie also fits in the tragic cases, at least until his mother brightened up in the anime. You truly saw how he was starting to lose faith in existence itself with his reaction to his mom having slit her wrist. He had already lost it, surely even before he entered the contract and knew what he was facing.

Felt bad for Kana throughout all of the anime though, even at the end, since Jun went out and left her 'alone' forever. I was glad their situation was a bit better during the period where Tamotsu lived with them.

I agree the manga was much worse for Chizuru but it still got to me in the anime as well. I just thought Kirie was so annoying so I never cared much for him.

Yea...Chizuru had it worse in the manga. She actually tries to date the teacher when she knew he had a girlfriend. She rejects all the boys her age because she feels that they all give off an aura of pervs who just want her body. Contrasts with the teacher who she saw was different and mature, but was really worse than any guy she knew.

The teacher plays with her for 2 months, records everything, shows it off, and gives her away to be gang raeped. She also gets blackmailed with threats to publicize her videos and personal information. Tries to commit suicide once but can't, and ends up protecting herself with the knife used for suicide when Kako tries to raep her. She kills all the raepists along with everyone around them during the battle. For some reason, her sister knew the type of guy she was going out with and went out with him anyway.

When she gets pregnant, the teacher suggests to record the whole birthing event and planned to find a doctor he knew so he could legally proclaim the baby a still born.

The robot she ends up fighting looks similar in both, but in the manga its not flat. It looked like half of a 3D tear and symbolized a mothers womb. It was supposed to mean that she killed her own child.

I think the only likable character in the show for me was the guy who had the little siblings and actually treated them nicely. I always feel bad when watching his episode and how he basically has to leave them alone forever.
