Tsutomu Takahashi has done it again. NeuN is a well-drawn Manga about WW2.
This review won't include spoiler and will be structured so you can see very clearly, if the Manga is for you.

Story(5/10):
The Story is probably the worst part in NeuN. It follows a build-up style and reveals more about Hitler's childs the longer the story goes on. The story is also very realistic written. And it feels like it could really look like that if Hitler had childs. The only thing i didnt like about the story was that it felt like it was written so the Mangaka can draw amazing panels. I also ... liked the German inbetween the story(German is my Native Language) Overall the Story isn't the best, but also not the worst.

Characters(6.5/10):
The Characters are very realistic and you can understand all their actions. The character designs are very unique and you can easily tell that Takahashi drew them. Overall I think that they definitly make the story better and more interesting.

Art(9/10):
The Art is Takahashi's strength. The Panels are big and nearly every Chapter has an amazing, if not more. People who like art in general should definitly read NeuN. There is also a lot of Action and the Character exprensions are always on point. A crazy side fact is that the Mangaka doesn't have any Assistants.

Enjoyment(8.5/10):
NeuN was with it's small amount of text and it's good reading flow a Manga that I couldn't stop reading.

Overall(6.5/10):
Overall it is a good Manga like we know it from Takahashi-sensei. I suggest this Manga to everyone who is into history and into good Art. It should only take 2h to read, so it could be a good Manga for Roadtrips or if you don't know what to do with your time.

EN : NeuN begins as a captivating historical thriller, driven by high-quality art and meticulous direction. The dark atmosphere, controlled pace, and constant tension make you want to turn the pages without stopping. We sense real potential, and the universe could have become a staple of the genre.

But everything fizzles out at the conclusion. The rushed ending feels like a slapdash project: some narrative threads are left hanging, the stakes are deflated, and the expected emotional impact never arrives. It's frustrating, because we can imagine what the work could have been if it had benefited from a resolution worthy of its promising beginning.

In summary: beautiful, ... gripping... but spoiled by a conclusion that leaves a bitter taste. Recommendation: No.

FR : NeuN démarre comme un thriller historique captivant, porté par un dessin d'une grande qualité et une mise en scène soignée. L'ambiance sombre, le rythme maîtrisé et la tension permanente donnent envie de tourner les pages sans s'arrêter. On sent un vrai potentiel, et l'univers aurait pu devenir un incontournable du genre.

Mais tout s'essoufle à la conclusion. La fin, précipitée, donne l'impression d'un travail bâclé : certains fils narratifs restent en suspens, les enjeux se dégonflent, et l'impact émotionnel attendu n'arrive jamais. C'est frustrant, car on devine ce que l'oeuvre aurait pu être si elle avait bénéficé d'une résolution à la hauteur de son début prometteur.

En résumé : beau, accrocheur.. mais gâché par une conclusion qui laisse un goût amer. Recommandation : Non.

First of all, This manga isn't my recommend for worth reading.

The story takes place in 1940 Germany under the Nazi regime, when SS Reichsführer Heinrich Himmler commanded a top secret mission in Wewelsburg, under the Führer. well this can attract a lot of attention.

I enjoy about art but images are too big and book is expensive for me. (~5$ = 1 book)
Story look rush but not able to catch any issue. One think I love is how to tell story about war2
There are so many number for each character so it's like shonen that I afraid


Overall : Art can show feeling thru human face so ... good
