Hataraku Saibou Black is a dark, gritty, and somewhat mature take on the formula of Hataraku Saibou. It shows a different story for cells without the wholesome, cutesy fun from the original. Instead, readers are exposed to the horrors cells go through in a "black-company" type of body where every cell is pushed to work to their limit and the problems seem to never end.
its a good read for those interested to know the different things happening to the body that were not explored much from the original.
Characters are okay, if you're already familiar with the original roles each cell had in the first one,
...
then you would be familiar with the rest of the cast. There are some few additions which are a welcome.
Art style is also okay, it has the charm of the first Hataraku Saibou but more rugged and gritty, showing how different the conditions are compared to the first show.
Plot is okay as well though a bit predictable at times, if it weren't fiction, all the events happening are really unrealistic (You'll begin to wonder how on Earth does this body keep going). You'll understand as you go deeper.
All in all, a good read. Good for those who want more from the series.
