throughout my deep dive into the vast, VAST world of doujinshi and hentai, i’ve learned one very important rule: take everything with a massive grain of salt. because sometimes you stumble upon works that are so bizarre, so absurdly over the top, that even questioning them feels like losing a battle you never signed up for.
deviation princess by aya shachou is exactly that kind of experience — one of those “what did i just read and why can’t i scrub it out of my brain” situations.
the premise alone already feels like it escaped from the reject pile of fantasy tropes. there’s this princess —
...
whose powers i genuinely cannot remember, which says a lot about the emotional damage i suffered — and her magical ability comes with a rather (no pun intended) hefty price. that price being: an astronomically high libido. not the “haha, she’s kinda thirsty” kind, but “call the national guard, she’s about to explode” kind. pair that with a world built solely to fulfill every tag that makes you wince, and suddenly you understand why the tags page feels like a horror jumpscare.
seriously, if you’re even thinking of reading this, go check the tags first. maybe say goodbye to your remaining innocence. because every time you think, “oh okay, that must be the limit,” the doujinshi responds with, “limit? never heard of her,” and proceeds to push further into madness.
as for the art — it’s fine. very middle-of-the-road hentai art. clean enough, expressive enough, and the anatomy definitely takes creative liberties, especially in the bounce department. the jiggle physics are working overtime through unionization and secured benefits. and if lactation-specific content is your holy grail, then congratulations: this book will treat you like royalty. story-wise, however, this is where the brain-to-eyes disconnect really kicks in. the narrative tries to wrap its extreme degeneracy in fantasy lore and princess drama, but honestly? we all know why anyone picks this up.
now, here’s the thing: i may sound like i’m dragging this doujin through the mud, but i do respect the audacity. it commits to its bit so aggressively that you kind of have to admire it. still — personal ratings are personal for a reason. and for me? this was way beyond my comfort zone. but hey, one man’s trash hentai is another man’s treasure, right?
if you’re into the kind that feels like a fever dream with physics-defying body parts and a plot abandoned at sea… you might just have the time of your life. as for me, i will be in therapy.
