I must say, I had the pleasure of experiencing "A Night of the Living Cat," and it was an absolute trip. If you read my last review Shibuya Goldfish was insane, this one takes the cake. It's a wild ride that'll have you questioning reality and fearing for your own safety.
The story follows a group of survivors in a post-apocalyptic world overrun by cats that have inexplicably turned into bloodthirsty monsters. Yes, you read that right - cats. The art is just amazing. It's grotesque, gruesome, and downright disturbing at times. The illustrations are incredibly detailed, capturing the horror and chaos of the world in which the story takes place. The characters are also well-drawn, with their expressions and body language perfectly conveying their fear and desperation.
The inter-character conflict is a bit lacking, but the main conflict more than makes up for it. The survivors are constantly on the run, trying to avoid being mauled by the cats that have taken over the world. It's a fast-paced, action-packed story that will keep you on the edge of your seat.
Overall, A Night of the Living Cat is a wild, crazy ride that horror fans will love. It's a testament to the mangaka's talent that they can take something as seemingly innocent as cats and turn it into a terrifying apocalyptic nightmare. If you enjoyed Shibuya Goldfish, you definitely need to give this one a read.
