Eating can be seen as one of the greatest joys in life. However, sometimes we as individuals can develop what are considered unhealthy eating habits. Like many of these things, sometimes we can't help it. "My Twisted Eating Disorder" shows us that there are people who have these habits. Which is one thing this manga does well because there can be one chapter in here where you can empathize with Kabi as you share an experience that is within some margin of what she went through. Sometimes just understanding that there are others that go through what you went through can be a huge confidence ... boost.
At the same time, if you are curious about what could be going on in the mind of someone who has an eating disorder, this could be an interesting read.

Now, as given by this title, this volume is strictly Kabi mentioning her eating disorder with her readers. If you are expecting a twist, it is not here. One thing I do like is that Kabi didn't contain all the explicit details because that would have been too much. The fact that it mostly keeps things as lighthearted as you can with this topic made this a more enjoyable read than I thought it would be. This is the first work by Kabi that I read, and I am now curious about the other manga she wrote.

As of right now there are only 4 chapters out for "Straying Warrior Nagata Kabi: Gourmet GO!", but so far it's good. I'm a pretty big fan of Nagata Kabi's works, I loved Lesbian Experience with Loneliness and Solo Exchange Diary, I definitely think those were her best works, but Alcoholic Escape From Reality and Wandering Warrior Existence were quite good too (even if I didn't like them as much as the previous 2). In Lesbian Experience With Loneliness, Nagata Kabi briefly touches on her eating disorder, but doesn't go very in depth into it. This entry focuses on that aspect of her life and ... it quite intriguing. I truly think Nagata Kabi is a very interesting woman, and her life is honestly fascinating to read about. Really my only complaint with this is that it's on hiatus, we don't know when it's coming back, and it's so short to the point where once you end up reading all 4 chapters you're going to end up wanting more.
