Art was beautiful; contributed plenty to the atmosphere and mood of coldness. It's easy to feel that the protagonist's endeavours with the various men who exist and pop up in her life would end in tragedy, a sense of foreboding, and the creeping feeling that the world she inhabits is an inherently lurid place.

Ultimately this was a story about the violence and freedom of being a woman. It's short in length, but it felt visceral, had impact, and was executed in a fresh enough way that the plot didn't feel trite, despite the core story about abuse and retaliation being an oft trodden tale. Would ...

Mixed Feelings
Spoiler
The ending left me a bit disappointed, mainly because it felt out of context and incomplete. I had to read other people’s interpretations and opinions to even make sense of it in my head, which is not good if I have to immediately resort to this.

My biggest issue is the way the author tries to explain an illogical story (a husband seemingly “resurrecting” from the dead) with a logical twist, that the husband was actually a twin all along. Instead of tying things together, this creates a chain of plot holes and heavy reliance on plot convenience. It is frustrating that the neighbour and even ...

Short and meaningless. The woman's life is basically over. She hopeless and honestly I can't find any positive thing about her except for her killing her husband. And, I didn't really read instead I just scan through the chapter and only taking in some important information that might help me understand the story a bit better. So, I can tell you that save your time and don't read this unless you are into this kind of stuff. I only read/scan it because of curiosity. Plus, the ending is, well, not sure what to feel but she got it rough and it was meaningless like I ...
