Synopsis

Minami and Yuzu have been inseparable since elementary school. But now that they're in high school, Minami just can't accept that Yuzu may someday get a boyfriend. How come some random guy gets to wake her up in the morning, feed her lunch, take baths with her...? It doesn't take long for Minami to realize that her feelings can't quite be described as "friendship" anymore, but how can she get Yuzu to see her the same way?

The story pacing is tight, not too fast but should've been a bit slower. The story is 150 pages long but feels shorter than that. The art is good and matches the story. Has a lot of wholesome moments. A great slice of life and goal for the story with the events that set this off into motion. You'll love the characters with how the two are drastically different from one another and how they play off each other. It had a rough start, but a great middle part, and then, unfortunately, a rough ending.

The art is cute, the character designs are typical yuri/cgdct, the characters being quite similar but still have distinctive features, and you'll get the typical yuri dating tropes. Festival, fireworks, fever, bath, school trips, school festival … what was not so common was the planetarium and the ski trip. That was cool as a change.

Volume 1 was awful. It had a sweet first chapter, but Minami was way too much, too annoying from chapter 2 on! Felt like I was reading a thriller based on her heart beat.

I really wanted to like this story, the premise was fun, the characters were cute, pretty and fun, the situations were entertaining and the story was fun to read.... but sooner than later you realize of one big problem... it never takes off.

I can accept silliness, i can endure clumsiness and i can tolerate unawareness... but what i can certainly not accept is the characters being so obnoxiously stupid.. specially for that long and SPECIALLY when the situation is extremely obvious that it just feels like ragebait at that point.
