Come on now, you know what you signed up for: A loser, pathetic mc and the classic cool heroine that for some reason likes the mc. These type of stories aren’t the best or most enjoyable to read unless there has been some form of character development or recognition — this manga has only done one of the two.

The plot is somewhat cliche and tropey, and the plot isn’t much different from any kind of psychological romance story; instead, the manga gradual teases each chapter to contrive enjoyment and engagement, which works somewhat well.

The characters are… mediocre. As expected of a typical loser ... boy story, the mc is simply pathetic — though, he isn’t unbearably pathetic, since he has self-awareness and acknowledgement of his rather ridiculous situation. As for the other characters, not much of their backstories are explained, and there have been quite a ton of disposable characters to drive the plot. In other words, the characters don’t undergo much or any progression at all.

This is a pretty typical story for its trope, but it is somewhat entertaining and memorable due to how many red flags there are in the characters. Curious to see how it ends, but this story is pretty shallow overall.

This manga has been around for a quite a while and gave off mysterious intense vibes.
Though the story just stayed as a simple writer dude who fell for an extremely attractive kind hearted woman. To my chagrin, there were no extreme or over the wall actions happening here, everything is surprisingly chill and friendly.

It was slow for the first set of chapters, but I was enjoying the development.
Then suddenly you are hit with the AXE at chapter 25.

If I had to rate, it's just a 3/5 star series. There was a ton of potential to explore different routes, directions, characters as this kind of story ... is seen in a wide range of other titles. It just never got to that point, as all you get is... a very rushed and half hearted ending

You liked Nagatoro-san but you dont like physicall and mental bullying/abuse? This manga could've been for you..... but it's not good enough.

This was literally for me the better Nagatoro, a simple story, cute, wholesome, about a loser guy who somehow meets the perfect girl and little by little he starts improving himself as a person and as a man so he feels that he deserves the girl.

It was a great start, but it felt way too rushed, 25 chapters was not enough for this story, it really needed way more chapters to properly develop the relationship.

The character desing? amazing, love both girls design and their ... personalities are great (i was actually rooting for a harem ending because i like them both).

It is sad, just another story with great wasted potencial, not worth your time tbh.
