Returning with absolutely nothing, otherwise known as worthless regression is a story about a person who gets transmigrated into a fantasy world. The mc is immediately tricked and is forced to work as a weakling his entire life, up until he risks his life and miraculously finds a regression stones that allows him to return to the point where he first started, and with this new start the mc obviously does things differently and becomes stronger than before. Pretty standard stuff for a story like this. How this manhwa ends up differentiating itself is in the execution. This story is not really a story about ... a mc that abuses his knowledge of the future in order to become unparalleled, but more so a murim/cultivation one. The main character is truly talentless in some pretty important aspects and this is a pretty major part of the plot. He really needs to work hard and doesn't become extremely strong in a short time either. The way the main characters personality changes and how his mental anguish is depicted are fairly unique. The characters are all pretty well written and interesting, though it is still a fantasy shounen manhwa so don't expect to much in this regard. The world that he got transported to is harsh, and even though people are kind to the main character, it is made clear that this is in large part due to his achievements (among other things which would go into spoiler territory). In a way this series has an atmosphere similar to a dark fantasy seinen series in that most of the things that happen feel small, futile and hopeless, but it's also not overly depressing. Overall I would recommend you check it out. Especially now that the first season is finished.

A refreshingly grounded take on the regression genre centered around a relatable underdog protagonist.

The isekai premise of a talentless mercenary sent back as a child has been done before, but is executed thoughtfully here. The narrative explores the MC's struggles and personal growth in a cruel fantasy world without relying on quick power-ups. The limited info so far hints at a rich lore.

Art: 8/10
The art style is distinctive with some rough edges, but captures expressions and action well. Characters have their own visual flair. The coloring aptly sets the tone from bright to gloomy.

Characters: 9/10
The protagonist's self-doubt and perseverance in the face of adversity ... make him sympathetic. The way he slowly gains confidence through effort feels organic. Supporting characters add humor and heart.

Enjoyment: 9/10
I found myself invested in the MC's underdog journey and elevation of his self-worth. His setbacks hit hard because of his relatability. The story remains grounded despite the fantasy setting.

In summary, Returning With Absolutely Nothing puts a fresh spin on regression manhwa with a compelling underdog protagonist and thoughtful plot. I'm excited to see where his climb to hero status goes next.

Its easily become above average regression manhwa the plot is strong and pretty fast the story is 8 but become 9 thanks to the great story telling in the manhwa.The MC is easily 9, his grow and development are the main course in this manhwa.MC and side character have good portion of interaction which is preference actually but it help the MC development.i look forward for the season 2. For now i guess this series is in my top 5 manhwa can be upgrade or downgrade depends on quality on season 2.Hope u guys can enjoy it as much as i do
