I often wonder to myself on why I read so much trash — basic, cliche mangas that seem to have no bright side — but mangas like these point and blank justify all of the suffering I had to go through in order to find gold. To put it simply, this manga is one of the few “edgy,” “revenge-filled” stories that is actually well maintained, introduced and written.

The trope of this manga is on the unique side, but contrasting from the others, this is more revenge-oriented, which opens up a whole bridge of opportunities if done well, and this did just that. The plot isn’t ... predictable! Rare, I know, since there have been times, despite me being a fairly experienced reader in these trashy genres, where I don’t know the direction the author will take within the story — of course, there have been “predictable” moments solely because the mc is the mc, but they have been incorporated in an entertaining and engaging way each time.

Revenge stories suffer greatly from… well, revenge. Let’s be real, although it is a guilty pleasure, reading nonstop gore and edge chapter after chapter shouldn’t be anyone’s favorite past time, and even if it is, it gets boring eventually. Knowing this, this manga is incredibly flexible with the mood each panel has; some panels are extreme, grim, and dark, but there are other scenes, a panel immediately afterwards, where there’s a joke instilled to calm down the amount of edge. This makes this manga so much more entertaining and palpable than others of its kind.

Characters, characters, characters… Going back to “revenge story characters,” they are all disposable, which causes them to be shallow, as they are only there for plot development’s sake. However, in this manga, all of the characters are reasonable and somewhat realistic — there haven’t been the usual “bad guys for the sake of bad guys,” or if there were, then it all made sense on why they are villainous. More importantly, the characters aren’t boring, and they get well-explored via developments or simple dialogue.

As I write this review, the score of this manga has only been going up, since that is how underrated this manga actually is. Despite the story being oriented around a rather trashy genre, this manga was by no means cringy, edgy, or boring in any shape, way, or form; whether this be from the panel arrangement, plot diversity, or characters is hard to tell, but it doesn’t matter anyway, since it was a damn entertaining read.

For now, I'd say this is a great manga for sure. 9/10 Preliminary Review

Story
It's a cliche revenge way yada yada, I mean there are so many mangas already so you're expecting something original??

Story-telling
So far it's on a nice pace, it does not feel rushed or too slow. The author makes sure we get enough of a background before we start delving into the deeper end, but then again it's still 10 chapters (English translated) so far so yeah. It would be great if the author kept the same pace throughout the entire thing.

Artstyle
Definitely, on the good side since it doesn't hurt my eyes looking at ... the scenes and characters. Quite a mainstream style, but a good mainstream style like it became the mainstream because it's a good type of thing.

Hopes & Dreams (bit of spoiler)
I just hope this manga doesn't become a naive MC type of manga where he's gonna save everyone without breaking *spoiler alert* his taboo. I've seen it happen with Shield Hero and I hope this one does not do the same because like man, *spoiler alert* his childhood friend got raped and killed even though the girl is still like 5 or something bro. I do see some red flags in some of the aspects of this manga so hopefully, the author figured it out in the long run and doesn't fumble this manga.

TLDR = So far so good, big potential on becoming somewhat of a masterpiece.

I will keep my review concise and short based on my first impression of the few (currently released) chapters I've read.

The visuals, readability, and panelling were striking as it was able to convey everything without boring you. The plot or concept despite being a rehashed version of other works of its genre (revenge plot + reincarnation + fantasy) was refreshing to see. The pacing with its current chapter releases are still on the green zone so no comment on that. Its edginess was well executed and it wasn't forced nor was it lackluster.

Basically this fantasy manga is a cut above the rest. Ignoring the borderline ... NSFW visuals and edgy content, it is very well made and it is a must read!

Edit (1/7/26): It seems the manga was cancelled after Chapter 20 and it ultimately stopped on a certain plot point which should be maybe around the Light Novel's early midway point which is disappointing. Dragging this series from an 8 to a 6 given that the manga's "ending" doesn't conclude anything and it's fair to score incomplete works whose plot hasn't developed significantly lower.

The only reason I haven't scored this lower is due to like I said on my initial review; its art is very very clean, distinct, and good. The well executed premise and plot had a lot of potential and it saved my final score from dragging it to a 4 or 5. I have no plans to read this work's Light Novel adaptation but I imagine the world building and plot is better read here which could be a hidden gem for LN readers.
