Our mc, Serena, was a homeless orphan girl who became an assassin when the opportunity came. Our story starts with her dying on a mission and reincarnating in a world of swords and magic.
She is reborn as the daughter of a duke who is never home, and a hopelessly optimistic mother who fears her. After all, Serena was reborn with all her memories, then made no effort to adjust to her new life. Instead, she chases her old life because it's all she knows, and obviously, it's a little boring to try and live the life of a pampered rich girl. As a consequence, her ... mother adopts a normal, commoner orphan girl who can be raised and treated normally.

The writer of this story likes to get straight to the point with everything. They leave 0 unnecessary details, and I like that. They're not gonna dig into the nuances of society or who our assassins' targets are any more than they have to. We're never gonna see these characters or topics again, so the writer isn't gonna waste our time with them. The story isn't about her being an assassin; she just is one. It's not about magic or fighting, it just exists. The story is about our socially awkward mc navigating noble life, while still being her. It's about her being forced to learn what emotions feel like and what normal is supposed to be because of the people she finds herself surrounded by..
Yes, it is still a power fantasy where stuff happens just because it's cool. But the job of the reader is not to forget that it isn't what they were supposed to come for.

I like the plot for the story so far but everything else is very average. Not bad, but you're not gonna mention anything, like the art, in a recommendation. Read the story if you want a sassy but sexy female mc who doesn't understand life, and you want to see that fact change over time

I randomly binged the manga, this is just a 3/5 star manga.

The beginning had potential as it's clear the MC is a live or die assassin from head to toe. The regression was haphazard but the setup had a more intimidating feel to it?

Sadly the development/story become weaker due to inconsistant pacing, jumpy events, and a confusing MC.

In the earliest chapters, at the age of a child, she doesn't hesitate at all to kill people (even at her kid age.) This could work in certain context situations, but here it wasn't done properly.

She just easily accepted and decided to kill a family of nobles causing ... "trouble." Yet it was never clarified what they were doing, so...she must murdered them without properly thinking, investigating, or learning why?

That's terrible, and I get she's obtaining a human heart but it's so wish washy I am having a hard time getting into this series.

Suprize, surprize here we go again, it had high potential for a unique story but god was it ruined with the execuation and the fast pace.

The plot is shallow and full of holes, things happens because they just need to happen, randomness is the key of this story, they dont have to make sense and they dont need to, they just have to look cool, so many unjustified actions and so many random events.

The author really said lets just put every edgy thing together and make a story about it, surely that would make it cool right ?

Like for example you are a teacher and ... you have to put an exam, ok cool, well then lets add a math question and add a chemestry question and a couple of english questions, but wait that makes no sense why are you putting those things together ? what kind of exam is this ? idk it's an exam and exams need questions right ? but they should be seperate subjects or at least tell me why put them together ? NO.

This is how it feels like reading this story, why does anything happen, no justification is ever given, does any action in this manga make sense, no it doesnt.

Also the main plot is that she is an assassin after reincarnating now that kills just because, you ask me why she is one ? well idk because she was an assassin, does she need to ? no, then why ? because assassins are cool, shallow reasons with no motivation whatsoever, much like the most unfeeling character itself and if you think anything change or the character develops think again.

And lastly the dip into your generic unoriginal plot devices as if the unjustified randomness wasnt enough.

The art is average at best and when you combine the mediocre plot it becomes really hard to ever recommend this manga, it's one of those at best read if you literally have nothing else to read, to me personally it's just a brain rot and it's the author inderct way of insulting out intelligence.
