Star Player Supporter feels like a pretty typical VR–game manhwa. The story is mostly predictable: the main character is already the best player, constantly discovering new things in places no one else bothers to explore. One of the strangest parts is how the game developers act as if they have nothing else to do but watch this single player all the time, which makes the world feel a bit unrealistic.
The characters are generally decent, and some of them are genuinely fun, but there are moments where they act in ways that make no sense at all. The protagonist especially has some over–the–top reactions. There’s even
...
a moment where he gets really upset over an NPC’s death, and it just doesn’t fit the tone of the story, so it pulls you out of the moment.
Despite all that, I still enjoyed reading it, and I think fans of VR–game stories will probably like it too. But the biggest issue is that the series suddenly stops at a very crucial point, leaving a ton of things unanswered. If I had known it ends like that, I wouldn’t have started it.
Overall, it’s a fun read, but it has plenty of logic gaps and it doesn’t offer a satisfying ending. If you want to try it, just be aware that it’s incomplete.
