Synopsis

Kobayashi just can't focus—not on studying, not on work—and the adults in his life think he's in danger of becoming a worthless dropout. Then, one day, a strange new presence arrives in his class: an energetic and naïve kid named Uno. Kobayashi saves Uno from getting scammed, and that close encounter launches a new friendship. Uno's definitely a space cadet, but Kobayashi can't help admiring the way he floats through life, and before he knows it, he might start feeling his feet lift off the ground, too...

This is the best manga I've read in 2024.

I love diving into stories that I do not have a good understanding of. When I saw this story pop up on my feed, I thought, oh neat this is something I would've never thought of to read when it comes to the manga. After HS, my interactions with people who are autistic, neurodivergent, mentally challenged, etc is very limited, so I thought, lets dive in and see what this story is about, and wow did it open my eyes to a lot of what is around me, and now makes me think, maybe I am surrounded ...

That was the first word that subconsciously came out of my mouth after reading the four chapters that this absolutely outstanding manga has currently available to offer. I absolutely don't know how I stumbled across this nor do I care. I am just grateful that I did.

The manga delves into such a special topic and does it beautifully, and I was captivated by the wide-eyed gaze of Uno (quite literally).

I love the stars and have always wondered how some people can look in the sky and point out what kind of star and planet that tiny dot is. It's somekind of witchcraft I don't quite get. And I tend to talk excitedly about things to my friends only to realize "Oh, they don't really care about it. I must sound lame." That's basically what this manga is also about.
