Now, this manhwa is your pretty standard OP MC comedy series, with our MC being Swallow, an unfathomably powerful ancient beast who lazes around his dungeon all day.

To sum up the rest of the cast, we have Renee, a homunculus who has a huge crush on Swallow and, while I wouldn’t call her a yandere, she isn’t far off; Patrick, a skeleton who acts as the straight man of the series and generally bosses Swallow around to make him fulfil his role as dungeon boss; and Melje, the weakling of the bunch, a kid demon king who is saved by Swallow early on.

Plot-wise, the ... story basically starts with Swallow and his companions leaving the dungeon for the first time in a while, slowly introducing us to the world and its characters, and only recently has begun touching the overarching plot.

So, if you like OP MC stories, or you want something decent to pass the time, you might as well give this a go.

I hate that I kind of enjoy this series. The main character is a sort of kuudere. What is that you may ask? “ Kuudere is a term for a character who appears calm and unemotional most of the time, but becomes cute and loving around their love interest. They don't talk much and have a cold uninterested attitude towards people who are not their love interest. Although it might not appear like it at first, they are hiding a deep inner love inside that will start to come out after becoming closer to their love interest” -fandom

This is quite similar to OPM, skip to ... the next paragraph if you don’t want spoilers about one punch man. You got your overpowered protagonist that has companions not as strong as him. He seems to be very lazy and seems to act like he doesn’t care about his companions. Truth is, surprise surprise, he secretly does. His companions are loyal and when things go down, he comes swooping like a late super hero (cough opm).

If you like power fantasy plus drama, go ahead. This has very much power and even more drama to spice up your hatred for some of the outrageous but sort of predictable events 😉

Our big bad boss monster of the unattainable dungeon, Mr. Swallow, is just your average lazy bum. He loves his sleep (just like a certain dragon with a chef that we know of.) He loves his sleep SO much that his gate keepers have to manage house for him. They replace workers, upkeep traps, and accomplish tasks for whatever else needs to be done to keep things running smoothly. Due to this interesting power dynamic, the big bad boss will walk on egg shells to keep his gate keepers from quitting on him.

This has some funny aspects to it and interesting character relationships, but ... nothing much else stands out. Our MC is OP and much like Saitama from OPM, has lost the desire to be an overachiever in any way, shape, or form. There are common tropes that kind of get bothersome and parts can get boring.

So this can be a hit or miss for people depending on what you like and what annoys you.
