I'm surprised by the lack of attention this manga has when it genuinely is one of the sweetest stories I've read in a while. The story feels refreshing, light and fun even with a fun take on the usual teacher-students premise. The author is able to create a strong bond with the audience and the characters who all have unique personalities and goals. We also really get to see MC grow to care for these students and really learning about them as people rather than more of assassination targets. Overall I really adore the way the characters interact and strive for their goals together while ... growing as people.

If you're reading this I highly recommend you give it a try!

The characters are fun. They are not (too) shallow, even if they have strengths and weaknesses. I like the protagonist. His struggles with teaching and growth from interacting with the students are fun to watch. It's not an isekai. This is set in a fantasy world and has a fairly standard school setting you have probably seen before. The main draw for me is the characters and their interactions with each other. If you like this type of series (I do), it's genuinely good, but it's not the most original series. I cannot say for certain if I'll keep liking the series as it is ... still ongoing and therefore can still butcher the ending.
