I'm not the biggest fan of the villainess genre, in fact I tend to avoid titles with said genre. But, I am a fan of yuri and have been on the look out for some new yuri manga to enjoy when I stumbled upon the one-shot of this manga. The premise is promising, the characters are interesting, and the whole plot is light and enjoyable overall.
As I have stated, I don't read/watch villainess stuff so I don't know how this compares to other titles, but it's a solid work on its own in my opinion. The characters feel organic enough so you can relate

to them on a certain level. In fact, it's so good that its only flaws come from the fact that it got axed. The good premise feels rushed with plot points left unexplored which also undermines the organic characters, robbing them of the character development they otherwise could've gotten had the series not been axed.
This is one of those cases where something fresh gets cut and is forced to stop due to poor sales, making it a less enjoyable experience. To sum it up, everything about this manga is good except the chapter count and that's the publisher's fault. And unfortunately that affects the score I can give it which is 7/10.
With how short it is, I still recommend you to read it.
