First chapter made it stick out from the pile of regressor garbage, and reading till the current one made it a running contender for peak.

As the name implies it features a boy um.... surviving the apocalypse. With all the necessary skills drilled into him, trying to complete the only aim he has in life, it has made me looking forward to every new chapter with a weird excitement. The story so far makes it evident that the story leans or will lean more towards action rather than surviving, but not to a large extent. We can still witness the horrors of an apocalypse, the duality ... of humans all out in the plain view.

The characters features a large cast, most of which are probably useless as they are just their to die anyway. But the ones which are focal have good character design if I have to judge them. The characters all got their own characteristics, but they need a bit more chapters to get the development they need to flourish. Now about the main character, usually I hate the lone wolf type of characters, because at the root they are just being edgy, but this one I don't mind because his personality rather stems from minimal interaction and suspicion towards humans.

And now on to the topic of art which probably would be the first thing you will praise it about. I very much like the general artstyle, the amount of detailing especially on the monsters is just muah! The backgrounds are also good. There were instants of distorted drawings to exhibit motion which I liked very much.

All in all the author is cooking some good shit and we as readers should be obliged to eat it.

Really hooks you in with its brutal actions and mysteries. Every chapter drop makes you curious with the story to keep you coming back for more. From the very start, you'll really get intrigued by the strange backstory of the MC and his father. Why was he so obsessed with preparing for the apocalypse, what secrets is he hiding, and what exactly are the limits of the MC's powers? It's a slow burning puzzle that you can't help but want to solve.

It's a really good manhwa, the only downside is that the MC is just way too soft. He won't kill anyone no matter what, ... that is just really frustrating to see. You could put the most filthiest vilest humans and he will still not kill them.

trash of the absolute lowest kind. The kind that disguises itself as "look I am a hidden gem, weird as fuck but that's exactly why only you dear special reader can appreciate me!"

I can smell the stench of the room of those chunibyo readers who so desperately want to feel special and call this shit peak because liking weird stuff makes them feel oh so different from the masses who like mainstream stuff.

They either can't or don't want to see how cliché this shit is in its alleged eliteness.
No spoilers here imo as it's what you see in the first 3-5 chapter anyway, but if ... that bothers you then stop reading here:
There's a completely nonsensical father/son relationship where the father says he loves the son and is keeping him jailed in the basement to protect him from the incoming apocalypse while he "trains" him in random nonsensical survival strategies and some chunibyo bullshido that the chunibyo artist perfectly draws with emotionally rhetoric extreme rotational movements in rage-bait style.
But this "My only goal is to protect you" is immediately contradicted by the fact that the father NEVER even remotely tried to establish any relationship of trust and affection, and therefore the abused son simply grows rebel and weary of him and doesn't believe shit about the incoming apocalypse nor the suicide of his mother allegedly happened right after his birth due to fear of such incoming apocalypse (which jfc boy what a shitty karma, a psycho toxic father who doesn't care enough to put some love in his obsession, and a manic depressive mother who didn't love you enough to stay with you, plus end of the world...)
And so boom (cliché) he escapes.
And of course boom (cliché), right there the apocalypse starts, and boom (cliché) his father dies to save him. And boom (cliché) now the kid is sad because he didn't believe his toxic father and he's all alone now but boom (cliché), he wakes up with his head on a cute blonde girl's legs, she saved him or whatever, and boom (cliché) he immediately remembers that his father told him not to trust any human, so he takes distance, but boom (clichè), his stomach growls and boom (cliché) the girl has food and gives it to him and boom (cliché) she's a tsundere and tells him to repay her 4 times, and of course boom (cliché) they start a relationship of trust just because she fed him, like he was a dog.
Also boom (cliché) they meet some deranged survivors and boom (cliché) some slightly older kids bully him by taking his pic of his mum hostage and boom (cliché) you get your weekly dose of rage bait as he lets them bully him because he's afraid they'll rip the pic which he needs cause of course he still hopes his mum is alive...
PATHETIC.

I swear if the writer is older than 12 he needs an urgent neurological checkup.
Only a pre-teen can write shit like this and only a chunibyo "I am so special" pre-teen can seriously like it.
There might be exceptions which confirm this rule.
