Synopsis

Jogo has a crush on his classmate, Miyato. One day, they unexpectedly end up walking home together after school. When Miyato is about to be hit by a truck, Jogo throws himself in harm's way to save her. In the final moment before impact, Jogo wishes he could have told Miyato how he felt. But then he hears a mysterious voice saying, "You can do it over. This time, don't have any regrets."

When he wakes up, he finds himself unharmed, lying on the ground, with a different version of Miyato beside him—she looks the same, but her clothes and hairstyle are different.

8.1/10

…. It got axed. Not even a rushed ending or anything, just a sudden axe. Read it for the initial chapters, and I guess the last chapter for some “make-believe” closure. It was fun while it lasted. (Knocked my score of an 8.4 to an 8.1 because of the ending. Sucks.)

This review contains “Quintessential Quintuplets” spoilers? What am I smoking.

“Whaaaaaa… just happened?”
“…”
“Please tell me there’s another chapter.”
“F*ck.”

Preliminary (1/14 eps)
I wrote a review for the oneshot before the first chapter of this manga came out. I made one prediction: "There was going to be a choice of who gets to stay and who doesn't," and I was right. I'm mainly just writing this review to say I was right. No spoiler warning because this is the first chapter I'm covering.

Art: 9/10, it's really good, but sometimes the body proportions can look a bit off. I like how they make their panels, it's quite dramatic. Expressions feel, well, expressive.

Story: 9/10, I think it has potential to be explored, but I don't see ...

Mixed Feelings
It's hard to recommend an axed manga, especially one that ends so early and abruptly.

After all, the premise is interesting but, beyond that, the art, the story, and the characters aren't particularly memorable or interesting.

And then, just as the story gets interesting, it ends abruptly.

You get little more than a hint of what might happen if the MC's crush and a version of her from another universe suddenly met her and the MC.

Either way, it's only 14 short chapters that won't take much of your time to binge. You won't lose much nor will you gain much from reading it.
