My First Review – 44th Period
This is my first time writing a review. I'm a big fan of horror—whether it's manga, manhwa, OEL, you name it. I stumbled across 44th Period while randomly scrolling through Webtoon. I was bored and decided to give it a shot (which I usually don’t do, since I’m very picky about what I read). At first, I hesitated because the art didn’t immediately connect with me, but I decided to stick with it—and after the first chapter, I was hooked.
The story follows a group of students in what I’d describe as an “apocalyptic” world. Strange “dark holes” have appeared, and

anyone who enters can’t come back out. The concept behind these holes—and what lies inside them—is absolutely awesome. One of the holes swallows their school, and the world within is both terrifying and fascinating. It’s massive, mysterious, and full of story potential. If the author keeps up the momentum, this could turn into something truly special.
There are some great twists, and the story makes you think. It’s not just horror for horror’s sake—there’s actual depth here. I’m rarely unsettled by horror in drawn form, and while I wasn’t exactly scared here, the eerie atmosphere definitely got under my skin.
It’s hard to explain everything without spoiling it, but trust me—give 44th Period a try. You won’t be disappointed.
