Take every Murim trope you’ve ever seen, blending it up in a blender, and slapping a semi-polished paint job on it. That’s this series in a nutshell. It wants to be special, like it’s building toward something grand with merchant politics, martial arts intrigue, and family drama—but it ends up feeling like it’s just following a recipe you’ve already tasted 30 times before.
Story: 6/10
Been there, read that. The story throws you into a typical “rising from nothing” plot where the MC being regressed is trying to reclaim honor or build up power in a corrupt system—but with a merchant martial artists regressor twist. And by

twist, I mean barely a twist. Nothing really pops off the page or sets this apart from the million other Murim-style manhwas out there. It’s predictable, safe, and doesn’t take risks. Like eating plain toast when you were promised something spicy.
Art: 7/10
Okay, I’ll give credit where it’s due: the art is clean. There are moments where panels look sleek, the character designs are decent, and the action is drawn well enough to keep you scrolling. But let’s be real—this level of art is kinda becoming the standard in manhwa these days. It’s solid, but it’s not groundbreaking. You won’t be screenshotting panels to use as wallpapers, let’s put it that way.
Characters: 5/10
This is where the real letdown hits. The characters feel like cardboard cutouts wearing cool clothes. The MC has the typical every murim mc guy persona with a tragic past, but he lacks that spark that makes you want to root for him. And the supporting cast? Meh. They exist. That’s about it. No standout personalities, no memorable dialogue, nothing that makes you go, “Wow, I can’t wait to see more of them.”
Overall: 6/10
If you’re new to Murim or just want something familiar and easy to binge with okay art, this might scratch that itch. But if you’re hoping for a game-changer or something that’ll leave a real impression? Nah, this ain’t it, chief. It’s another entry in the overcrowded Murim genre with just enough polish to pass, but not enough soul to stand out.
