I've gone into MAL's database to find as many of these as I can, with some general criteria for making the list:
- Should have at least 20 volumes or 100 episodes in total.
- Should be aimed towards fans of battle shounen. However, it does not necessarily need to have the Shounen tag. This is very subjective, so I may have left out some legitimate series with that.
- Not including series that are mostly slice of life or that sort of thing.
- Not including Delinquent or Martial Arts series for the most part, as they can practically make up their own genre. Some exceptions though.
- Not including super obscure manga with very little/unreliable info about them.
- Sequels are counted with the original, so Boruto is included with Naruto for example.

This stack offers a journey through Asian history, with works that stand out for the precision of their reconstruction and the solidity of their historical anchoring. Each title has been chosen for the quality of its treatment of the historical context, not for its narrative or aesthetic quality.

This stack groups together works that, through a martial arts background, extend the tradition of the martial arts novel (wuxia), the heroic historical chronicle or the epic shōnen with a classical Chinese/Japanese cultural substratum. They combine legend, codified fighting style and the transmission of techniques.

Monthly Shōnen Magazine (月刊少年マガジン, Gekkan Shōnen Magajin) is a monthly shōnen manga magazine published in Japan by Kodansha. It was launched in 1964 under the name Bessatsu Shōnen Magazine (別冊少年マガジン). In 1969 it was retitled as Monthly Bessatsu Shōnen Magazine (月刊別冊少年マガジン) and its publication frequency increased from quarterly to monthly. After suspension in 1974 it started publishing again, in 1975 it was renamed as current magazine title.

It had a supplement magazine called Shōnen Magazine R, which launched in 2015. The magazine originally published a new issue once every two months, until it became a digital-only magazine in October 2019 with a monthly schedule. In January 2023, Shōnen Magazine R ceased publication. In February 2023, a new web publication called Getsu Maga Kichi (Monthly Magazine Base) replaced Shōnen Magazine R. (Source: Wikipedia)

I base my list simply on the manga listed on MyAnimeList (https://myanimelist.net/manga/magazine/48/Shounen_Magazine_Monthly).

Those I haven't had yet and which have a good chance of moving up in the rankings: Kakushigoto, Kaze Hikaru, Nanto Magoroku, Rin and Violence Jack
