Manga: Rutta to Kodama
Similar theme - a delinquent/tough looking seme who keeps people at an arm's distance, and a soft but persistent uke who manages to breaks the walls surrounding the seme. Neither of the seme are assholes, both the uke have distinct personalities.

Manga: Skip-Kiss
We have a seme with a surprisingly dark past, and an uke who has a pretty persistent personality. On the surface, both seem like your typical BL manga with a jerk seme and a doormat uke, but I was pleasantly surprised to find out that this wasn't the case. In fact, it's the uke and his strength that help the seme through some of his most difficult times!

Manga: Fan
Written by the same mangaka, both these manga are pretty misleading. On the surface, you might think that they're stereotypical BLs, but that's not the case. The uke is a strong and confident young boy (despite his shota appearance), while seme is a complete goofball who's totally besotted with that cute little boy! Both share healthy relationships with each other.
