Synopsis

Randou Masashi is a brash karate star who strikes fear in everyone around him. But despite his intimidating presence, he is secretly in love with the sweet and beautiful Rina Kurimi. Unfortunately, Randou is involved in a horrific bus accident, which leaves him comatose and with a disfigured face. A year later, he awakes to discover something utterly shocking—his face now resembles Rina's!

Randou learns that he has been under the care of a surgeon named Jun Manabe, who reconstructed Randou's face based on a picture he had of Rina. Moreover, Randou is presumed dead, and his parents have moved away as a result. Distraught, Randou crosses paths with Rina and is mistaken for her twin sister Yuna, who fled from her house two years ago. Although Randou initially wished to restore his face, seeing Rina elated makes him reconsider his decision.

However, a boy disguising himself as a girl is as absurd as it sounds, and being surrounded by troublesome individuals only makes it more difficult. Nevertheless, Randou is adamant about concealing his identity until he finds the real Yuna.

Fun, dumb and hilarious. Comedy is subjective so if you don't find the jokes funny, then drop this manga. Otherwise, you'll love it. This is the manga that got me into a gender bender reading phase, although I don't think I ever managed to find another manga that captured the same goofy atmosphere as Pretty Face. The comedy plays upon the MC being body swapped into the twin sister of his crush where as the premise suggests hilarious events occur as a result of the absurdity of the scenario. Summary: Masashi Randou was enjoying his ordinary yankee school life, til he got in a car crash which horribly disfigured his face. In order to save his life, he was transfer to a private doctor, Manabe, thanks to him he got his face back, but not the face he had before, but the face of the girl he loves. There's more to the story, but I'll leave it there otherwise I might spoil the whole story, and I want you to enjoy the series as I've did.

Mixed Feelings
It sucks but I like it.

In these days it's difficult to find a manga as stupid, perverted and overly violent in Weekly Shounen Jump as Pretty Face is. I've seen some try but they always miss that swing by missing out on a key factor that actually makes anything funny, realizing that what they're making is fucking stupid. The closest I can think of that hits close to Pretty Face's stride is Me & Roboco and even then it's missing that overly edgy pervert humor factor.
