Favorites: 22 Resources | New Interest Stack Interest Stacks![]() ![]() This is a list of all the Shojo and Josei manga licensed by eManga (Digital Manga Publishing) that I could find. However, they have an extremely large BL and GL selection that I didn't look through entirely, so if that is of interest, they are marked as specific sections on their website and have their own imprints (June and Lilyka which merged with eManga). DMP/eManga has been around a long time and many of these titles are Out of Print. ![]() ![]() This is a list of the Shojo and Josei manga with sci-fi elements licensed in english. Some lean more into the hard sci-fi elements than others, but whether it be aliens, mecha, robots, a futuristic world, futuristic steampunk, or space they will be included. Some "hide" their sci-fi elements or treat them similar to magic, so keep that in mind. ![]() ![]() The companies featured on this list are publishers who either release physical version of these licenses or who publish DRM-free digital versions of these titles. Some are smaller than others. These companies include One Peace Books, Udon, Denpa, Star Fruit Books, Titan comics, Tokyopop (post-implosion), and eManga/DMP. Glacier bay books is another. ![]() ![]() Tokyopop was one of the OG titans of manga publishing in the US, and specifically built their foundations on their shojo titles like Sailor Moon, CLAMP's works, Fruits Basket, and so many other heavy hitters. However, due to poor management and the 2008 recession, they ended up almost completely withdrawing from the english manga market barring some OEL comics and disney manga and losing many of their biggest licenses. They had a decent presence in Germany/the EU manga landscape, and would later in the late 2010s re-enter the English manga market fully as a boutique manga publisher. Although they aren't the titans of the English market they used to be, they licensed some amazing shojo/josei that I hope to collect over a series of lists to compile them. |
