The Seiun Award (星雲賞, Seiunshou) is a Japanese speculative fiction award for the best science fiction works and achievements during the preceding year. Organized and overseen by the Science Fiction Fan Groups' Association of Nippon (SFFAN; 日本SFファングループ連合会議, Nihon SF Fan Group Rengou Kaigi), the awards were given each year at the annual Japan Science Fiction Convention. It is the oldest SF award in Japan, which was first given in 1970 at the 9th Japan Science Fiction Convention and has been awarded every year since that. ![]() ![]() At least one main character is a monster, a demon, an alien, a robot, a lovecraftian entity, a thoroughly animalistic demon, a straight up anthro, or whatever else there might be; merely 'humanoid' at best. ![]() ![]() Stories featuring characters whose physical abilities are extended beyond normal human limitations by mechanical elements built into their body. ![]() ![]() A list of manga avaible on Mangamo ![]() ![]() "The line between good and evil is thinner than a razor’s edge." ![]() ![]() All the Appleseed manga series in their chronological order of release. ![]() ![]() Some of the coolest looking manga cover art I could find. ![]() ![]() Continuing from the previous list, here are more manga that I think fans of DC's Vertigo imprint would enjoy! And to spice things up a bit, I'll be including some manhwa titles in this list as well. ![]() ![]() Many manga/novels adapted into anime only get one adaptation. Some have received more than one. Reasons for this may include: creating an adaptation more faithful to the source material, a different set of creators wanting to take their own spin on the material, or reviving a dormant franchise. Having multiple adaptations available also means more debate amongst fans as to which one's better. |
